Washington (CNN) - For more than a week into a government shutdown, Paul Ryan kept a low profile amid the political uproar.
When he finally emerged, the time was ripe for someone with his conservative cred and fiscal bona fides to step in and try to corral his bucking Republican Party.

In other words, he stuck a finger up to see which way the wind was blowing before deciding against reciting Ayn Rand.
fiscal bona fides

Slashing and burning doesn't make you fiscally responsible.
"fiscal bona fides "
HAHAHAHAHA!!!!! "We haven't run the numbers".....
CNN is now going to push a "Paul Ryan to the rescue" narrative? Are you competing with Faux News or Cartoon Network?
"When he finally emerged, the time was ripe for someone with his conservative cred and fiscal bona fides to step in and try to corral his bucking Republican Party."
I do realize there is more to this article. To be clear though I couldn't get past the above sentence. Anyone who thinks Paul Ryan is the next true Republican statesman is under a great deal of TeaPer influence and should not to be taken seriously.
Ryan is simply a rat who hides when trouble begins.
In other words, once it looked like other people might actually be getting the problem resolved, Ryan emerges to take credit.
Ayn Rand: The complete opposite of Jesus Christ. Choose carefully "Christian" Conservatives.
This is silly. Ryan proposes "ok, instead of both your legs, we'll just cut off one or the other and let you choose which one" and CNN crawls up his rear end to sell his still-very-extreme proposal for him as though it's moderate and reasonable just because it's not a demand that Obama sign legislation destroying Obamacare. Nonsense. This is the standard technique of demanding something obscenely radical and then pivoting to something less obscenely radical, but which is still radical, in order to look like you've moved towards the middle. It's like the not-so-pretty girl hanging out with the extremely ugly girl to make herself look better.
Last night on CNN Gloria went out of her way to say Congressman Ryan had no part in the demands of the tea party republicans. I found it very curious that she, the chief Obama supporter on CNN would say such a thing.
CNN, you have got to be kidding with "non-biased" writing in this piece of garbag. Are you going to announce him as Jebus' personal representative in soup kitchens next. What a true joke reporting at CNN has becom.
Haha...Teatroll McGee...forgot to change back my name after co-worker used it.
"Are you going to announce him as Jebus' personal representative in soup kitchens next. "
And Jebus said unto his flock, "let these already clean dishes be re-washed...."
The fact that Ryan (the discredited individual because of his disregard for the truth and facts) is the brain child of the republican party is telling me that this party is totally bankrupted
"Are you going to announce him as Jebus' personal representative in soup kitchens next. "
And Jebus said unto his flock, "let these already clean dishes be re-washed for a photo op...."
Lee Ann's nose is brown. That's all, really.
Oh puhleeze.......
"Coolly steps in at key moment"..........bring on the "Rocky" music and let the crowd roar its approval while
serving tea.
The one intersting element yet to be played out is: how will the TEA Party act to being sold out by Mr. Ryan? They were worked up into a frenzy by Mr. Cruz (whose adds against the ACA still run on late night TV), only to be told the ACA as an excuse to crash the government probably never was real at all.
Mr. Ryan additionally suffers from the inability to play well with facts, and flip-flops a la Romney. This whole GOP-made mess doesn't appear to be settled by any means, especially if these bumpkins intend to re-fight this fight (the one they are preparing to lose) again for the holidays.
Ah, well, crazy is as crazy does. Perhaps the GOP wants to see how low their support numbers can go....
--he does have any kind of guts, just ignore that dude.
grow up or maybe not
Lyin' Ryan backtracks after his Op-Ed doesn't mention the ACA but falls back in line after the t-t yell....gutless as usual
Ryan. The wannabe vice. He'll be lucky to have a job after next election.
If he can work with everyone, then Paul Ryan should hopefully work towards the good of the country. I hope that he understands the needs of those that need the support the government because there is no private non-government program or organization that can handle the need the way the federal government can.
Paul Ryan is going to give the 2016 presidential election a shot .
It's going to be a full clown limo , Ryan, Rubio , Paul , Christie , Perry .
