(CNN) - The Supreme Court announced it will remain fully open through next week.
Federal court officials had earlier indicated the entire judiciary would run out of contingency funds October 15, but said Thursday additional emergency funding was found to keep all the courts running normally for an additional two days at least.
"The court building will be open to the public during its usual hours, and the court will hear the scheduled oral arguments," on Tuesday and Wednesday, said a statement on the high court's website.
The courts, which constitute a tiny fraction of the federal budget, have been one of the few government entities to remain fully functional during the shutdown.
What a shame. The oldest among us has to go to work. If they don't like it, let them quit.
Oh wait, this is CNN. Hmm, let me think, it's always the GOP and Tea Party's fault. Dems are angels. What else would I expect to read here.
This is what happens when the right hand doesn't know what the left hands doing.
