Reid urges patience, remains optimistic over deal prospects

Washington (CNN) - Two steps forward, one step back.

A surge of optimism on Monday for a possible compromise to end the partial government shutdown and avoid a U.S. default as soon as this week got jolted by the sudden postponement of a White House meeting between President Barack Obama and congressional leaders.

In a brief statement, the White House said the meeting announced earlier in the day was put on hold "to allow leaders in the Senate time to continue making important progress" toward a solution.

You can do this guys. It is not that hard. Those who don't to compromise should do everyone a favor and leave the room. They can even consider it a form of protest. The shut down is costing us more money...and we are not getting the services.

One solution to stop this shutdown is stop giving food stamps to people in our jails. The tax payers money pays for the daily housing for an inmate. Why does the government still add monthly payments to their food stamp card? This happens in a lot of states if not all of them. If a person goes to jail for 3 months they have three months of money added to their card when they get out. So if 10,000 people get monthly amount of 200.00 of food stamps, that is 2 million that could have been saved. If someone goes to jaiil stop paying and let them reapply.

Here it is folks! On October 31, 2013 the world as we know it is gone. They did what none of our enemies could. Destroyed the US. Its economy, democracy and its people. The mega rich will step in through the World Bank and complete the deal to have a total Oligarchy. You will indeed be a slave to their capitalist system. And many so called "Patriotic Americans" followed blindly like sheep to assist these madmen in their mission.
