Ya know, after all the GOTP has quite happily put the people of this country through, I could give a crap what they have to offer. Unless of course it's their resignations.

It seems that the House GOP members don't seem to be catching on. Any changes to the ACA need to be done outside this budget and debt negeotiations. My question is why must that be done now? Couldn't have the request/legistative change been done in small pieces over the course of time? It seems that there is no GOP alternative ready to go to replace the ACA. Without that to look at, I am unwilling to throw the whole ACA out.

But hey, they'll vote for that Reid-McConnell deal in the Senate, eh?

People waking up and smelling the coffee yet? The only way to resolve this is to remove the "tea party" cabal from the House. It'll probably have to be a forcible removal, as we don't have the luxury to wait until 2014. The other option, of course, is for the President to pay our bills by executive fiat and thus save the country. Plan B will probably be what happens, despite the clearer necessity of Plan A.

I'm going to laugh myself silly if they propose a clean bill with sequestered spending levels. The Senate passed one 2 weeks ago.

  7. Wake up People!

These people just don't get it. The ACA is LAW. The POTUS ran on it and won reelection. There's NOTHING you can do so move the eff on!!

My God, it's like they refuse to face the fact that Barack Hussein Obama, with his Muslim sounding name, is the President of the United States!

Start earning those paychecks and perks you people get for doing absolutely nothing constructive.

The reason they will only offer deals that they know are dead is simple, they don't want one, they have convinced themselves the fallout will be mitigated through lies lies lies no deal coming folks, here we go again. Kiss your 401k goodbye, and after five years it was just back to where it was, now ask yourself, where did it all go last time? To the 1% that is driving this one

The ACA is settled law. We do not "negotiate" changes to settled law through hostage taking, we do it through the legislative process- something the GOP now no longer apparently believe in. That is not the way our government was designed to work, or has ever worked in the past. Arrest the House GOP on charges of destruction of federal property, domestic terrorism and extortion.

The Republicans want to keep gutting Obamacare until it does not exist. President Obama should stand firm and let Congress led by Ted Cruz let the country default and Republicans cry like babies. In the mean time woe to the working class Americans that they do not care about. Ted Cruz insanity has made this country the laughing stock of the world and the least admired when it comes to fiscual responsibility. Go red states!

GOP/Teatroll offer: "We get to functionally secede from the union by ignoring election results and pretending that we alone run the gov't, despite losing the election, solely because we can, by refusing to do our duty, threaten gov't shutdowns and default on the nation's debts."

these republicans are crazy. If we default it is on their stupid heads. We need to work on redistricting so this does not keep happening. Throw all the bums out and start over with people with an IQ of more than 60 ! the tea party has sent this country and the public to the brink one to many times. If you keep listening to clowns like palin who took five years to get through college with a broadcasting degree of the foreigner cruz we will end up in the toilet. The rand pauls of the of the world do not seem to understand anything about the economy or the effect this will have on the average American.

The Republicans' plan is absolutely fair, and is beneficial to the country. It is unbelievable that Democrats would be in favor of a double standard of better treatment for the lawmakers than the citizens of this country in regards to Obamacare. If the law is not good enough for them, and they're the ones who made it law, then why are we stuck with it? And this isn't even taking into account how it was rammed through without one Republican vote and against the will of the American people. Either postpone the whole law until they sort this out, or make it fair – everyone should have to deal with it.

The Republicans' plan is absolutely fair, and is beneficial to the country.
It is niether. The Constitution paints a bright and clear path on how to change existing law. The GOP has ignored that process. The Constitution has no provision for holding any or all parts of government hostage so that a minority can use an extra-legal method to get ist way. The ACA has nothing to do with the Debt. Ceiling. The GOP is now nothing more than outlaws in suits.

But they don't have the votes to pass it out of the House.
Thats not considering that Democrats wont vote for it (because the WONT)
BUT because they dont even have their own REPUBLICAN votes......

To sum it up, in an effort to stop Americans from getting access to affordable health care, Republicans have shut down the GOV and 20 Billion dollars have been wasted.

Bohner, Cruz... go figure your party out, then get back to the American people when you're ready to put people before party.
