Washington (CNN) – Amid all the chaos of the last-minute deal in Washington, there was an unusual moment on the House floor moments after the bill passed.
A House stenographer and well-known employee calmly took to a microphone and began screaming.

"Do not be deceived. God shall not be mocked. A House divided cannot stand," she said, according to a House GOP aide. After a few seconds, she was escorted out by the Sergeant-at-Arms, but an audio recording by Todd Zwillich of Public Radio International captured the rest of her rant.
"He will not be mocked, He will not be mocked, (don't touch me) He will not be mocked. The greatest deception here, is that this is not one nation under God. It never was. Had it been... it would not have been... No. it would not have been... the Constitution would not have been written by Free Masons... and go against God. You cannot serve two masters. You cannot serve two masters. Praise be to God, Lord Jesus Christ."
House members and aides were surprised and unsettled by the scene.
"I don't know, she just snapped," said a GOP aide.
CNN's Dana Bash spoke with several staffers who knew the woman well.
"She’s a well-known person, she’s a perfectly nice person, a good colleague, somebody who’s respectable and dependable, and this is very surprising to everybody who works with her," Bash reported on air.
"The Sergeant in Arms didn’t try to stop her because she works there and that’s where she’s situated," Rep. Peter King, R-New York, told Jake Tapper. "And she actually went up behind the podium where the president speaks from. They thought she was going to hand something to the speaker, and then they realized."
Officer Shennell S. Antrobus of Capitol Police told CNN she wasn’t arrested or charged and was transported to a local area hospital by DC Fire for further evaluation.
In terms of an ongoing investigation or further action about the stenographer, Antrobus said no such action will be taken.
"There is nothing more, from our end, that we are going to do," Antrobus said.
–CNN’s Deirdre Walsh, Steve Brusk, Dan Merica and Conor Finnegan contributed to this report.
I hope she does not lose her job.
No surprise. She's a Republican!
Hilarious. But also sad. She probably has been going without sleep and working pretty hard. While her immediate bosses enjoyed the wonderful benefits of their class and thumbing their noses at America's struggles. Hope she gets the rest she needs.
This Political Fiasco has been unsettling and very stressful for those of us watching on the wide screen or reading on the internet.
I can not imagine what it has been like for people witnessing it first hand.
It has been enough to drive the somewhat Sane to somewhat Insane....as proved in this case......
She is perfectly correct, and may God have mercy upon us.
The empire known as the USA... no longer matters.
The "united states" of America is a nation accursed by Jehovah God for their disobedience and rebellion to His laws, and now we are reaping the grim and evil fruit of our wickedness as a nation. Between state-sanction infanticide and sodomy, and enthralling ourselves to vanity and selfishness, and worshiping at the altars of Mammon and sensuality, we are become the latter day Babylon, the harlot whom God promised He would judge with uttermost vengeance, that she drink down the cup of God's wrath to the dregs.
Prepare yourselves for hell, or repent, for the hour of God's vengeance is upon this failed nation:
"The wicked shall be turned into hell, and all the nations that forget God" Psalm 9:17, KJV
She's right. Our nation is not under God and will suffer. Far from sending this woman to a hospital, the politicians in the House needed to listen and understand what she was trying to tell them. God will not be mocked. Again Free Masonry and Christianity are opposed to one another, they worship opposing forces.
Another god nut.
When she witnesses unbelievable things happening, it does not suprise me that she would snap.
A woman approaches the podium and starts shouting God stuff at a moment like that? That would freak me out too...I'm probably run out of the room.
Poor lady! I think anyone would snap after sitting in that room with all those two-faced crooks everyday and not just sitting there, but having to record every word they say. And up until the vote, she was probably doing it without pay. She should write a book about the joke of a system we have, get rich and retire. I wish her well!
The truth shall set you free, numbskulls.
Well, they speak in the past tense, so I'm gonna go out on a limb and say she's fired? She had too much time of to watch cable TV conspiracy theories. Sad thing is she's correct, no true Christian could ever treat the poor and needy the way the gop proposals do. To worried about themselves to care, the more money they have the less heart, money is the root of all evil, George and dick come to mind.
Well, she is correct, our constitution never mentions god, jesus or the bible, so no, our country is not one nation under any god. Thank you, crazy religious lady, thank you for pointing out the truth. "E Pluribus Unum", from many one, was changed to "in god we trust" in the 50's because of communist fears. Christians need to learn and understand that their religion has no place in our government, just like the founding fathers intended.
Sounds like a pesky thing called personal integrity got in the way of her secretary job. Maybe it's also undue stress?
sounds like my mom and sister. acting as if free masons are evil and as if the obama administration is the legions of the antichrist.
Another religious nut. I wish you people would find another planet to live on.
Oh brother – no wonder nothing gets done in a timely manner in DC
Sad part is, she's just as 'normal' as the rest of them on the hill.
Another conservative waco bird. Fire her.
Wonder if she was a diabetic and her sugar got out of whack. I was working at one company when we came back from lunch cops and ambulances were every where come to find out an employee had taken off all his clothes and walked around spouting off rhetoric. And that's what caused his "event"
Even people who work at a zoo periodically are stressed by the very animals that they are charged with caring for. It takes a lot out of someone after so much excrement is slung back and forth, occasionally hitting the bystander. I am sorry that she lost her composure and had a mental incident. Next...?
Oh snap: The Crazy has aerosolized.
She didn't snap, she'll be one of our next congress women (R). Half the country is yelling " Amen"
First of all, she hadn't been paid for a few weeks, and I'd rant too. Maybe not like that but what ever happened to people in this nation actually having a voice? Second of all, "Under God" was only printed on our money after the 40's. Third of all, we were NOT founded as one nation under "God" and religion is SUPPOSED to be kept separate from STATE, If we allowed religion to eek into everything we would have a big frigging mess...look at the middle east. Lastly every American and I mean EVERY American needs to read the Federalist papers.
Must of bee an Alex Jones fan.
