Stenographer snaps, rants on House floor

Washington (CNN) – Amid all the chaos of the last-minute deal in Washington, there was an unusual moment on the House floor moments after the bill passed.
A House stenographer and well-known employee calmly took to a microphone and began screaming.

"Do not be deceived. God shall not be mocked. A House divided cannot stand," she said, according to a House GOP aide. After a few seconds, she was escorted out by the Sergeant-at-Arms, but an audio recording by Todd Zwillich of Public Radio International captured the rest of her rant.
"He will not be mocked, He will not be mocked, (don't touch me) He will not be mocked. The greatest deception here, is that this is not one nation under God. It never was. Had it been... it would not have been... No. it would not have been... the Constitution would not have been written by Free Masons... and go against God. You cannot serve two masters. You cannot serve two masters. Praise be to God, Lord Jesus Christ."
House members and aides were surprised and unsettled by the scene.
"I don't know, she just snapped," said a GOP aide.
CNN's Dana Bash spoke with several staffers who knew the woman well.
"She’s a well-known person, she’s a perfectly nice person, a good colleague, somebody who’s respectable and dependable, and this is very surprising to everybody who works with her," Bash reported on air.
"The Sergeant in Arms didn’t try to stop her because she works there and that’s where she’s situated," Rep. Peter King, R-New York, told Jake Tapper. "And she actually went up behind the podium where the president speaks from. They thought she was going to hand something to the speaker, and then they realized."
Officer Shennell S. Antrobus of Capitol Police told CNN she wasn’t arrested or charged and was transported to a local area hospital by DC Fire for further evaluation.
In terms of an ongoing investigation or further action about the stenographer, Antrobus said no such action will be taken.
"There is nothing more, from our end, that we are going to do," Antrobus said.

Wait a minute, here. She was escorting away for blabbing away incoherently? Isn't that what they do in congress every day? I don't think she was out of order at all. 🙂

COnsidering how much nonsense she probably has to put up with, it's no wonder she snapped.
Any man/woman of faith, would understand, she stood up and quoted scriptures, scriptures that ring true, and is sound wisdom to the hearers. I applaud her bravery, I know Jesus Christ, who sits at the Right hand of God our Father, the creator of the Universe, respects the truth she spoke in front of the entire nation, and now this article will serve as a memorial to her testimony before this Great Nation.

She's one of the few crazies who at least knows that this country was not built on so-called "Christianity". Got to give her that much. Now, if only the conservatives in this country would get the message, we could end all of this nonsense.

She ought to be dismissed period!
She was working long hours, for weeks on end, unpaid thanks to the very people she is directly working for, and all she does when she finally snaps is verbalize her personal beliefs. While I don't hold those same beliefs, I give her credit for not setting off a suicide vest, pulling out a gun, or defaulting on the past debts of the country. I'm sure what she said will have no impact on any of the politicians. After all, she's just a voter, needed once every 2 years for one small vote, not a major campaign donor.

It's comforting to know that when a religious extremist gets central access to the one building all our leaders are packed into all at once, that if she brings a bomb vest and decapitates the entire US government in one fell swoop by blowing herself up in the middle of them all standing there in a perfect execution formation circle–at least she's a nice wholesome christian and not a muslim. Count your blessings. At least she yelled "God is not mocked" instead of "Allahu Akbar." Now THAT would be terrorist.
It's so nice to know that we're safe from religious extremism as long as we're safe from the muslims.
It just shows that insanity is contageous. That poor lady had to listen to all those tea party fruits and it rubbed off on her.
The irony is we all must preach the same message she gave, that is to get the leaders of our nation to understand its not about Money, Politics, Personal Agendas, Economy, or any other thing that them idiots can guess at. Its about getting it right as a nation that Preserves God as our National Heritage and not default against the Corner Stone he gave unto us as a Prize to be worshiped that in the End we all could be victorious. Corruption is ready to destroy America let face it, it more likely will start from the head down. Should we expect it any other way?

@Peach: I can field your question, "How can you take something like GOD's word and make it a bad thing?" Because there is almost certainly no God, so appealing to It to do anything is not just bad, it's crazy bad – as in "asylum crazy bad." I hope this clarifies things for you.

She is perfectly alright. She needs no evaluation. She spoke the truth, and the truth is bitter to hear sometimes.

We don't blame her for losing it after all the tension in the room. If you are sensitive with some metaphysical awareness the bad and evil can be felt in the room. God was with her then. Praise God. She sensed evil in the room. All the backroom sneakiness and planning. It reminds me of the show Surviver and Big Brothers. All the backstabbing and bad talking can get to some people.
if anyone is commenting that she is crazy, nuts and etc. well guess what she is telling the truth and she is not crazy . This country is no more it can't come back from the debt that this country is in even with all the money in the world this country still can't payoff that debt.
