Stenographer snaps, rants on House floor

Updated: 2:06 p.m. ET, 10/17/2013

Washington (CNN) – Amid all the chaos of the last-minute deal in Washington, there was an unusual moment on the House floor moments after the bill passed.

A House stenographer and well-known employee calmly took to a microphone and began screaming.

"Do not be deceived. God shall not be mocked. A House divided cannot stand," she said, according to a House GOP aide. After a few seconds, she was escorted out by the Sergeant-at-Arms, but an audio recording by Todd Zwillich of Public Radio International captured the rest of her rant.

"He will not be mocked, He will not be mocked, (don't touch me) He will not be mocked. The greatest deception here, is that this is not one nation under God. It never was. Had it been... it would not have been... No. it would not have been... the Constitution would not have been written by Free Masons... and go against God. You cannot serve two masters. You cannot serve two masters. Praise be to God, Lord Jesus Christ."

House members and aides were surprised and unsettled by the scene.

"I don't know, she just snapped," said a GOP aide.

CNN's Dana Bash spoke with several staffers who knew the woman well.

"She’s a well-known person, she’s a perfectly nice person, a good colleague, somebody who’s respectable and dependable, and this is very surprising to everybody who works with her," Bash reported on air.

"The Sergeant in Arms didn’t try to stop her because she works there and that’s where she’s situated," Rep. Peter King, R-New York, told Jake Tapper. "And she actually went up behind the podium where the president speaks from. They thought she was going to hand something to the speaker, and then they realized."

Officer Shennell S. Antrobus of Capitol Police told CNN she wasn’t arrested or charged and was transported to a local area hospital by DC Fire for further evaluation.

In terms of an ongoing investigation or further action about the stenographer, Antrobus said no such action will be taken.

"There is nothing more, from our end, that we are going to do," Antrobus said.

–CNN’s Deirdre Walsh, Steve Brusk, Dan Merica and Conor Finnegan contributed to this report.

It's remarkable to me how many people really don't understand the depth of the satanic underbelly of our government. She has witnessed over twenty years of private and public testimony from the inside. Instead of probing more deeply we just throw insults like children. It's frightening that we don't ask questions just in case out freedoms continue to be squashed. It's reckless to make assumptions and the ones in power rely on us having such shallow revelations so we keep pointing fingers at the screamers and never them. It's dangerous and we already headed down a path we may not be able to come back from. All because we believe what we read and we are too proud or scared to see the lies in the web of media distortion.

So many of us seem on that edge and if you bump them in a line or ask them the simplest of questions they go postal in snap. If you are reading this and it sounds familiar, ask for help as the wired world is designed to ramp us up not down and every one of us is tweaked in some way. Losing one's mind is bad enough, having it go viral is worse.

Seriously. She's got a bloated head when it comes to her chosen mythology. She sounds like one of those self-centered Apple fans who think the hardware they chose to pay for makes them a better human being than everyone else.

RELIGION IS A CHOICE, It's nothing that requires ANY EFFORT, so is NOTHING TO BE PROUD OF.
Keep your personal mythological fetish in your closet.

She is right though in that the U.S. is in no way a theistically based government.

We are NOT a theocracy. We ARE a democracy, and we were founded by a mix of religious and non-religious men who understood the importance of the separation of church and state. This woman appears to have separated herself from her sanity. I would bet she strongly supported the tea party, and after going nuts keeping-up with windbag Cruz, she couldn't handle it when the GOP finally realized they couldn't win. Good thing she wasn't armed. Well, I *think* that was a good thing. I would like to see all those TP freshmen kicked to the curb, but as much as I hate them, I wouldn't want them physically harmed....ok, maybe a little good ol' fashioned tar and feathering, but that's it. Thanks for the memories, and you can keep the feathers. All religious fundamentalists are nuts, just some have the decency and respect to keep their "you sinners are going to hell" thoughts to themselves. Tea-partiers, time to fade back into the shadows. You've done the country enough disservice already, and next one who calls another Republican a "Rhino" should be put in stockades and pelted with tomatoes.

Good for her, she spoke the truth and Lord knows the DC elitists (all of them) do NOT want to hear the truth!

There is more truth to her rant than most people will ever know. A little knowledge goes far. She's not as crazy as people make her out to be.

Remember when Mel Gibson snapped with the cop and starting on an anti-semitic rant. Then later said "I am not an anti-semitic'". Yeah, because when other people get drunk and rant they go off about Jews. Right.
Same thing happened here with this women and her god/religion rant. The only difference is she was not (as far as we know) under any drug influence.

I do not understand why they would take her to a hospital for evaluation-when cruz, michelle bachmann, mccain & the rest of the repubs that go "off" on the floor-are not given a mental evaluation.

Read 'The Great Controversy' by Ellen G. White, 'The Secret Terrorists' by Bill Hughes and compare them to the 'Holy Bible' (KJV) by God Almighty, and you will see just how far the Jesuits have come in destroying this once soverign nation of ours!

Perhaps they should put a sign outside the Chamber that reads, Entrance to the hearings may be hazardous to your mental health. Government is not responsible!

The Christian religion is quickly becoming one large cult run by zealots. How long until they start a Jihad and kill innocent people?

"It's remarkable to me how many people really don't understand the depth of the satanic underbelly of our government."
    The WHAT???!!!
Oh my goodness, more gullible bible thumpers spouting insane nonsense! NO WONDER our rabid right-wing chicken littles are so ignorant and delusional! They actually BELIEVE this pre-historic ignorant sillyness!
There is NO such thing as SATAN children! There are only sadly misguided fools who have been brainwashed by power-hungry and hysterical cult leaders! There is no amount of proper education that can wipe away this type of dangerously destructive insanity!
Get a grip Lisa G! Where ever it was that you heard this ridiculous myth, stop going there and please stop being so gullible! WOW... It is shocking that anyone who can actually read and write could be THAT delusional!

Can someone explain the reference to Freemasons? What was she saying, we should replace congress with Freemasons? Why, do they have a direct line to "He" who shall not be mocked?

A christer will "out" every time being given any sort of stress. It should be illegal for the religious to have any part in the government, even as stenographer. Just lucky she didn't start shooting, too.

As someone who follows the congress closely I am delighted. Not that I agree with everything she said, but the spectacle of that gang of scoundrels taking this country down the road to ruin just so they can keep the gravy train rolling a little while longer is enough to drive anybody over the edge.
