(CNN) - Sen. John McCain, R-Arizona, said Tuesday he's "seriously thinking" about running for a sixth term in 2016.
"I'm seriously thinking about maybe giving another opportunity for you to vote for or against me in a few years from now," McCain said on 550 KFYI in Phoenix. "I'm seriously giving that a lot of thought."

The audio was posted online by The Washington Post, and McCain's office confirmed the Senator made the comments on Tuesday.
Last month, McCain said he was "probably" in his last term, but then clarified saying he'll wait a few years before "thinking about whether to seek reelection in 2016."
Re-elected to a fifth term in 2010, the senator and 2008 GOP presidential nominee has a while until he has to decide whether or not he'll run for another term. He'll be 80 years old by November 2016.
If I had to choose between McCain and some Tea Queda candidate, I'll go with the old man.
He should run , he's one of a few good normal GOP that CAN beat the teaparty nazi kkk BS !!!!!
He should suspend his campaign to be the biggest fool in the country and return to Arizona.
Lol he'll pick Ted Cruz as his running mate and kill his chances like the last time.
For what? He has no more power in the Senate than a junior Senator. He's already been there so long that he's served as the top Republican on every committee. According to Senate rules, he's reached the limit. He can't chair any more committees, nor be the leading member.
McCain's relegated to junior role on any existing committee. That's why he was so eager for Harry Reid to create a new committee when the 113th Congress began. He's become just another vote.
McCain is a glutton for punishment. Although America is better off having heroes like McCain fighting the good fight.
Hey, we don't need a bunch of uneducated teaparty losers running our goverment into the ground and costing our economy 24 billon dallars and they don't care ????? Mc cain will win easily, the GOP teaparty garbage of America will be gone after midterms. Teaparty get an education in a goverment and economics class and buy some new clothes and we don't like the confederate flag. Remember they lost and so will you in 2014 midterms. The teaparty IS the garbage of America .
""" Sen. John McCain, R-Arizona, said Tuesday he's "seriously thinking" about running for a sixth term in 2016"""
LOL – yep, McCain, I really don't blame you – If the people in Arizona wants you IN, they will vote for you. I mean, why not ? If you take a good hard look at the rest of the "Lifers" – – – they continue to get re-elected. If I was you, McCain, I would keep on running, till every vote was exhausted. I'm sure your Governor Jan Brewer will send you some money your way. As a matter of fact, she might get on the horn, for you. Just tell 'ole Jan, that you're going to try to get a few earmarks, in federal dollars, for your state, like 'ole Mitch & the rest of them does.....Yep, go for it John. If you get a few Billion in earmarks, maybe you might turn part of the desert into a Huge Lake or something.
Let me put it this way, John.....You Would Never Get My Vote, even if you ran to control a dog house.
In this case his replacement would be a more to the right crazy teatard. We need to be careful of what we wish for. We could end up with a bunch of terrorists in congress like the Canadian one.
Grandpa Munster has to retire.
please just go away so we can get a reliable conservative in that senate seat. we don't need your kind shooting our own in the back.
AZ is on its way to truning blue, anyway: why not have their last GOP senators ( McCain and Flake) at least be people who are decent?
Which John McCain is running.
The pragmatist, maverick and problem solver with a willingness to reach across the aisle that ran against Bush for the GOP nom in 2000?
or
The embittered old man who emerged after getting fleeced by the Bush backers in 2000 and losing the 2008 general election. He only manages to continue to appear anything like reasonable when he is compared to the far right ideologues like Crua and Lee.
The 2000 version I could vote for.
The post-2008 version...not so much.
with all due respect mccain is to old, there is a time and season for all things, he could work as domestic us ambassodor, to help shut down the ill conceived tea party and other anit-gov groups
oh yeah... and take that loser daughter of yours with you when you leave. don't leave any trash behind.
O'drama ya Mama
Lol he'll pick Ted Cruz as his running mate and kill his chances like the last time.

@Rudy,

Ha! "ALL TRUE!" - Mel Gibson, on the phone with his soon-to-be ex-wife.
Worth reposting in full.
It's very clear he is way better then any thing the GOP nazi kkk has to offer. Good by teatrash in the 2014 midtes and thanks for the house and senate, teaparty morons !!!!!
He should change his mind, and open it up for a better Republican, who doesn't sell out to a dictator.
Ps. You could always vote for a dem and move forward or vote for a teaparty GOP traitor and move backwards!!!
We need term limits and age limits.
"Re-elected to a fifth term in 2010, the senator and 2008 GOP presidential nominee has a while until he has to decide whether or not he'll run for another term. He'll be 80 years old by November 2016."
Well, I for one will NOT be holding my breath waiting for his decision. I suspect that we'll get a continual repeat of the John McCain Saga:
"Will He Or Won't He" ... John McCain: All Day - Every Day (Sunday – Saturday)"
offered courtesy of CNN from today until ... well, Election Night 2016.
@Rick McDaniel: "He should change his mind, and open it up for a better Republican, who doesn't sell out to a dictator."
You're delusional, Rick. If President Obama is a dictator, then why hasn't he just killed his political opponents? Because that's what real dictators do.
The Manchurian Candidate...
Given the lack of sane GOP members in Arizona (our's rival Texas'), I'd stick with McCain, even over our other Senator Flake. Shoot, I voted for McCain in the past- the older model, the Maverick one.
