(CNN) - Rep. Paul Ryan on Tuesday joined a growing list of Republicans who want Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius to step down over rampant problems in the launch of Obamacare’s HealthCare.gov.
The 2012 GOP vice presidential nominee was on a conference call with reporters, helping fellow Republican and Virginia gubernatorial candidate Ken Cuccinelli make the case against a Medicaid expansion in the state championed by Cuccinelli’s opponent, Democrat Terry McAuliffe.
Cuccinelli has already said that Sebelius should step down. When Ryan was asked if he felt the same way, he responded: “I do agree with that.”
“This rollout has been a fiasco,” the House Budget Committee chairman said, and “not just because they have bad tech,” but because the entirety of the law is flawed.
Sebelius gave members of Congress the impression the health care website’s launch would be flawless despite knowing otherwise, said the congressman from Wisconsin.
“I think some people should be held responsible,” Ryan added.
Much of the call was devoted to Cuccinelli attempting to paint the differences between himself and McAuliffe. Cuccinelli, the Virginia attorney general, argued that his opponent has little experience and would drive the state to financial ruin by expanding Medicaid.
McAuliffe, a businessman and former chairman of the Democratic National Committee, has accused Cuccinelli of tea party extremism. Two weeks before the election, he leads Cuccinelli by single digits in the latest public opinion polls.

Resign? She should be FIRED !!!
Paul Ryan has been a leading champion of failed Republican policies that have cost this country billions of taxpayer dollars. When will Paul Ryan step down?
Wasn't this the guy who in 2012 went to an Ohio soup kitchen and AFTER they stopped service he made the workers put clean dishes back in the sink so he could PRETEND to wash them on camera
Perhaps he should look inwards. Talk about major fail
Gee whiz paul, could your call for her resignation have anything at all to do with the gop strategy of then filibustering her replacement? Hmm......could it be that clever little you thinks this might be another way to try to sabotage millions of Americans getting health insurance?
I think paul ryan should resign, as should the gop congressional caucus. They are so bad at their jobs that they actually crashed the entire country, which os substantially more significant than having a website with glitches in an otherwise functional rollout of a new law....
Yes, she probably should resign, but not because the likes of Ryan says so, or for the reasons he gave, nor for his real reasons.
Paul Ryan is a do-nothing loudmouth.
He has not initiated any proposals since being elected.
Mr Ryan in regard to your budget what do your numbers show? Uhh Uhm well we really haven't run the numbers yet sir, Mr Ryan you do understand that a budget is an idea where you run numbers otherwise it is not a budget only a guess. Silence. F-ing idiot I would love to see a website that he or any Republican particularly a tea party imbecile would come up with, especially one that will see the kind of traffic that the ACA will generate. Perhaps they would design it for the speed of a 28K modem.
Mr. Ryan, the next time you point a finger and say "You should resign", make sure you're looking in a mirror.
If we're going to start firing people, we should start with Ryan and the rest of the House GOP.
and you, imbecile, should get out of the way and resign, we, the taxpayers pay your salary and you are not worth a single penny, go and get a real job which you have never had, UGH!
You know what has been the biggest problem with the ACA? Republicans. Let's have them all step down.
Paul Ryan is a sore loser. Resign over technical difficulties? LMAO! Idiot Republicans, you passed it, Supreme Court upheld it, get over it!
No Paul "Lyin" Ryan you should resign for dereliction of duty for the last 3 1/2 years!
A glitch on a website pales & does not even compare to RepubliCANT Obstructionism!!!
I think 75% of the congressmen and women should resign too, but opinions vary. Besides, Ryan wants to get rid of Obama Care, he should want her to stay and keep the system in its present screwed up condition, unless he is afraid she will get it done with the A-Team. Congress has A-Teams too, a shame they don't get anything done on time.
I agree. I'm a ACA advocate, an IT professional, and an executive. If tests indicated the rollout had the risk of serious defects, the Pres should have been told about it. Period. This is too big a thing to not hold someone accountable.
President Obama should resign, he is a disgrace of a President, he his clueless in running an American Country.
Resign? She will be given a raise, huge bonus and touted as a dedicated public servant.
Kathleen Sebelius: Ryan Should Resign
I never thought I would see the day when I agreed with Paul Ryan and here I am, I agree Kathleen should resign. The whole idea all these "chiefs" are there is to ensure the POTUS isn't blindsided...Not only she should have kept an eye on the progress, she should have brought it to O's attention and advised hims to push the implementation to a later date. She failed in everyone of her responsibilities.
Just another example of the incompetent leadership that is so embedded in the Obama administration In the corporate/private sector she would have been relieved of her responsibilites eventually. They would have to figure a way around PC before moving forward.
Typical politician. Thinking with grand and sweeping rhetoric but never with practicality. Finger pointing doesnt take care of problems. Knocking people off the hill for mistakes doesnt teach lessons. It just teaches absolutism and that is what's wrong with Washington nowadays.
The mistakes might have happened on her watch but she's also the one that has knowledge of what was put into place from the very beginning in order to make the changes and apply the fixes. Putting someone that might have a general knowledge of a field but no working knowledge of platform from the ground up isnt going to get this whole thing resolved any faster. It jis ust finger pointing and amounts to no real world movement in the right direction.
But no ahead pull her off the position and see how much longer it'll take for someone to get up to speed on the complexities of the platform and then work to find what went wrong. Really can't stand politician's sometimes.
Paul Ryan is really wrong on this one, she should be fired for cause!
The ACA website isn't working properly and Ryan wants Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius to resign. He was part of shutting down the Federal Government, he should resign & leave the country.
Why is the NSA part of the ACA website ? Healthcare and National security .... Together ...
Ryan has outrageous gall!!! That monster tried his best to push a voucher system that would have left millions without adequate healthcare. He should be drawn and quartered. A short term web site problem is not a firing offense.
