
Washington (CNN) - President Barack Obama and the Senate Intelligence Committee didn't know the United States was collecting communications of allied leaders such as German Chancellor Angela Merkel, the panel's chairman said Monday.
"The White House has informed me that collection on our allies will not continue, which I support," Sen. Dianne Feinstein of California said in a statement that confirmed recent news reports on the surveillance network revealed in classified leaks by former National Security Agency contractor Edward Snowden.

We all know that is just a political lie. Of course Obama knew......no one can be that uninformed in that job. Not anyone.
Nobody that works for obama tells him anything? Whats the point of keeping obama employed if he 'doesn't know anything'?

So their excuse is , nobody knows or knew and that lets them off the hook for any responsibility and accountability.
