
(CNN) - After a day of conflicting information about his whereabouts, former U.S. Rep. Jesse Jackson Jr. has indeed reported to federal prison to serve a 30-month sentence, a Federal Bureau of Prisons spokesman said Tuesday.
Jackson - once a rising Democratic star whose political career imploded over the use of campaign finances to support lavish personal spending - entered a federal prison camp in Butner, North Carolina, on Tuesday morning, bureau spokesman Ed Ross said.

Most members of congress should be in or on their way to prison because they are nothing but a den of thieves.
I'm a Democrat. Have to say, this guy knew better. I support jail for any party, any member who self enriches in a job that is for the people.

They both should have received a harder sentence , Similar to Former Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick sentenced to 28 years in prison for corruption .
They would have been executed in China or given no less then 80 years.
