Coburn has recurrence of prostate cancer

Washington (CNN) - Sen. Tom Coburn is facing his second diagnosis of prostate cancer in two years, his office said Tuesday.

"Dr. Coburn has had a recurrence of prostate cancer and will be undergoing further evaluation and treatment," spokesman John Hart said in a statement.

The Senator, who is also a physician, is expected to be away work this week but may return as soon as next week, an aide said.

The two-term Republican Senator from Oklahoma underwent a procedure in October, 2011 when he was first diagnosed with the disease. He previously suffered from melanoma when he was in his twenties and he had colon cancer about 10 years ago.

Get well, Senator. But, you should have been kicked out of the Senate when you helped coverup John Ensign's affair.

Not very healthy for doc. Of course, he has health insurance unlike a lot of Americans, so he'll get the best of treatment. Meanwhile, lots of Americans die every day from the flu, impacted teeth and other treatable problems because they don't have insurance or a couple of thousand bucks in their pocket.

I will pray for him. However, this is the reason why people need good health insurance instead of junk. Good health insurance come with standards and bad health insurance when there is no standards and the insurance company cuts you off.

Isn't he lucky that he has the best healthcare money can buy at the expense of the taxpayers.
I am sorry about his health problems but he's still a jack's behind. Maybe he will retire.
