Graham to keep holds on Obama nominees
Washington (CNN) - Sen. Lindsey Graham vowed on Sunday that he would continue to block President Barack Obama's nominations until Congress hears from Benghazi survivors.
The South Carolina lawmaker told CNN's Candy Crowley on "State of the Union" that he will place holds on any nomination put forth by the administration unless it makes available five survivors of the September 11, 2012, attack on the U.S. compound in Benghazi, Libya, who have been interviewed by State Department investigators but remain out of Congress' reach.

"I've been trying for a year to get these interviews without holds," Graham said.
Graham scoffed at any notion his maneuver amounts to political grandstanding, portraying his actions as a last resort and couching them as part of "trying to perform oversight."
"I don't want to hold anybody. All I want to do is talk to the survivors," Graham insisted. "I'm not trying to prosecute a crime."
Graham announced his intention to hold all of Obama’s nominations the day after CBS's "60 Minutes" aired a controversial report on the attacks. The newsmagazine has since pulled its report, saying that its eyewitness, a British contractor stationed in Libya, lied to reporter Lara Logan about what he saw on the ground.
When pressed by Crowley about whether the debunking of the piece would impact his stance, Graham told her it wouldn’t.
"I never asked for the British contractor. I didn't know he existed," Graham said.

Why weren't you this upset when 2 of Bush's 13 attacks on our embassies were back to back in Riyadh....We definitely were more non responsive on that second attack than our administration was on their only embassy attack......Think this is about politics or fairness?
Senator Leslie Graham is a sham patriot. A self serving partisan, manipulating the dead of Americans on the anniversary of 911 where thousands of Americans died on the watch of President Geo W Bush and his vice President Cheney where terrorist actually flew planes into the pentagon itself, killing Americans on the ground in Arlington Va, the smoke rising within view of the Capital building itself. meaning not really a patriot at all.
Why? because if he rolled over for that one and didn't ask the important question then, how can anyone take his proclamations seriously today.

The President has a right to get his nominations interviewed and voted on in the Senate. The families who lost loved ones in the foreign service have a right to know what happened. The two are not related.
Nothing has ben looked at, mistakes were made, witnesses are not allowed to be interviewed. The Dems lied for weeks. There is good info that there was gun running and Clinton and Bohner both knew. Why don't you all want to know the whole truth. No one has been captured although they were interviewed on CNN. Mr. Graham's hypocrisy and posturing knows no bounds. He is not interested in the truth, but rather having headlines. He and his cronies never investigated the Iraq "rollout" (remember shock and awe?) He is not interested that we have changed the rules about our diplomatic missions, now combining the diplomatic core with the CIA. He is not interested in that Congress repeatedly cut back on money for security. He is not interested in that the truth that 4 people are dead because of simmering warfare in the mideast.He certainly wasn't interested in why 1000's had to die due his support of lies in Afghanistan and Iraq. He needs to resign.
I hope he rides this despicable Republican hoax (trivializing the death of patriot in the service of his country) right into the ground. And once Senator Graham is in the ground with it, I hope his state has the good judgment to shovel the dirt right back in on top of him. There used to be a line you didn't cross in politics, but the Republicans have forgotten where it is, and I'm not sure Graham ever knew. He first made his "mark" with his disgraceful posturing role in the Clinton impeachment farce (which hurt his party far more than it hurt the Democrats), and he hasn't learned one thing since. Unfortunately, neither has South Carolina, so he's survived. I pray that has changed.

How disgusting using the dead for political gain. I feel sorry for Ambassador Steven's parents and loved ones who at one time asked that this mission stop. Why are we not hearing from the Steven's family? I feel if they are satisfied with the report and whatever has been discussed between them and the President then who are these scavengers to continue bringing this up?
