Washington (CNN) - Vice President Joe Biden is known for his unexpected and quirky comments, but this Thanksgiving he's serious when discussing what he is thankful for.

"I'm thankful for my personal relationship with the President. There's a real friendship between us, and I have a great deal of respect for him," Biden said in an essay published for Time.com's special feature "TIME for Thanks."

As Obama makes turn to immigration, protests that he's not doing enough

San Francisco (CNN) - Seeking to move his domestic agenda away from the disappointments of health care reform, President Obama made another pitch for an immigration overhaul Monday, calling on lawmakers to restart an effort that stalled over the summer.

But even as he made his pitch at a recreation center serving mainly Chinese-Americans in San Francisco, Obama was loudly interrupted by a group who says the President's not doing enough to end deportations of undocumented immigrants.

(CNN) - A Democratic group formed to defend Hillary Clinton and other potential 2016 presidential contenders unleashed its first attack Monday, with Republican Gov. Scott Walker of Wisconsin as its target.

Negotiator in chief: How John Kerry delivered the Iran deal

Washington (CNN) - Just nine months into his tenure as Secretary of State, John Kerry successfully delivered an interim deal with Iran on its nuclear program. It is the most significant level of cooperation between the United States and the Iranians in decades and it could impact the remainder of his tenure.

While the deal that also includes other world powers has been panned by Israel - one of the biggest U.S. allies in the region - and some members of Congress, Kerry has praised it as a good first step.
