Mike Tyson to Piers Morgan: Obamacare is 'really bad'
(CNN) - He used to be a big supporter of the Affordable Care Act, but Mike Tyson now says Obamacare's suffered a knockout.
"It just really went horrible," the former heavyweight boxing champion of the world told CNN's Piers Morgan in an interview that aired Wednesday evening on "Piers Morgan Live."
"It's really, it's really bad," Tyson added.
The comments appear to be a change of opinion for Tyson, who in an 2012 interview with Morgan applauded President Barack Obama's efforts on health care, adding that the President and Vice President Joe Biden "give the people in that desperational need, that hope."
The start up of Obamacare over the past two months has been extremely flawed, with major problems plaguing HealthCare.gov, the system's main website for people to sign up for coverage, and with a controversy over insurance policy cancellations due primarily to the new national health law.
Tyson says he still believes in giving health care coverage to the millions of Americans currently without insurance, but added that "as of now it doesn't seem they can get it. I was for it a 100 percent but we just have to come to the reality that it didn't work."

Mike you might just have something there. Even Joe Btfspik knows Obama Care is bad. Not only killing Health Care Policies but killing jobs.
Could we please ask Mike about other important things – like what he thinks about the deal with Iran; How he would handle Korea; If Obama's reaction to China's claim for new territories was appropriate etc. I just need to know what he thinks.

Look at all the critics posting here thinking your opinion is any better than Mike Tyson's. He's just there to promote his book, not talk about healthcare but that's what comes along with agreeing to be on a show such as Piers Morgan. He knows that he is not an expert in the field, he's just answering his opinion on how it's gone so far. I wonder how any of you critics would've handled going from poverty to hundreds of millions by your late teens. When it comes down to it, he's achieved more than you have.
And why do we care about what Mike Tyson thinks about anything...much less how to provide healthcare to a nations?
It's too bad the millions of people like Tyson wouldn't listen when those of us with wisdom were telling them that this thing was "a bill of goods" (i.e., junk) being sold by the Democrats like a used car with some thick oil to hide to cover the need for a new engine.

Just curious – what makes Mike Tyson's opinion worth squat? He's a boxer right? Presumably he's somewhat impaired due to his boxing career. So presumably his ability to think about anything rationally is somewhat poorer than the average non-celebrity person on the street – and yet people are paying attention to him. Geez. Thank you. I have been holding off making a final judgement regarding the efficacy of Obamacare, waiting for Mike to speak out. While I'm still interested in Evander Holyfields take on this, it is not essential since he's only heard the half of it.
Well Mike, you have to keep in mind that most of us realized early on that it was not what it was being sold as.
NO MIKE, ObamaCare isn't bad. But, blowing through over $300 million is very, very BAD! I met Mike many years ago and had a in-depth conversation with him. Mike wants so bad to speak with intelligence but EVERYTHING that came out his mouth was him quoting someone else's words. The convo became redundant, I threw up two fingers, said "Peace" and I was out of there.
