Washington (CNN) - The enrollment tools for the Affordable Care Act's Spanish language site are now available as part of a "soft launch" this weekend.
The site's launch was originally scheduled to occur in October, but was delayed as the Department of Health and Human Services focused on the problems with HealthCare.gov.

"This weekend, we will soft launch the consumer-friendly Spanish online enrollment tool CuidadoDeSalud.gov. We think it’s important to work closely with key stakeholders in this effort and get their feedback to improve the experience. Shortly after and into January, we will ramp up our promotional efforts to drive Spanish speakers to CuidadoDeSalud.gov," HHS spokeswoman Joanne Peters said.
HHS officials say they've learned a lot as a result of the changes to the main site and want to make sure that CuidadoDeSalud.gov benefits from the hardware and software fixes that HealthCare.gov is going through.
The officials say this soft launch will provide the chance to receive detailed feedback from key stakeholders on the Spanish-speaking consumer experience.
HHS officials say in collaboration with state, community, and media partners, a more robust push to drive Spanish-speaking consumers to the website and to enroll at CuidadoDeSalud.gov will occur in January.
HHS is working with such community organizations for that push, including la Raza, the League of United Latin American Citizens, the National Latina Institute for Reproductive Health, the National Hispanic Medical Association, Voto Latino, and Día de la Mujer Latina in Texas and Florida.
Of course, that means they will be looking the other way, when illegals start trying to take advantage of the system. That also means they will start putting even MORE illegals on the Medicaid system, which is nothing but WELFARE!
-–this is great, but they need to learn English, I mean E-ga lee–ssss., too.
Elizabeth Liorente reports on how Latinos are also turning against obamatator-everyone is starting to get it about obamacare-we all lose our policies because this is socialized health care. Things are so bad obama told the insurance companies to bill the government what they think is owed them and it will be paid??? wow, clinton was right that obama had zero experience running any business.
Hope this helps a lot of people

No, we certainly can't forget to sign up as many illegals as possible to get their subsidised Obamacare at the expense of the taxpayers.
Really? They have time and money for this when the primary English site is a mess? The Obama administration's priorities are truly screwed up.
Republicans have managed to alienate just about everyone who is not rich, white, or just plain stupid. Proceed wingnuts.
Im sure its as good as the English website, geeez you really cant make this stuff up !!!
The only priorities republicans have is to hurt the poor, take away women's rights, make sure people with pre existing conditions will not have health care, along with trying to destroy our country.
The government site is not a mess, even someone as dumb as Boehner got signed up.
I am truly tired of paying for uninsured republicans who show up at the emergency rooms.
@Rick McDaniel: "Of course, that means they will be looking the other way, when illegals start trying to take advantage of the system. That also means they will start putting even MORE illegals on the Medicaid system, which is nothing but WELFARE!"
Hey, Rick, what is it about verification that you don't get? From the Kaiser Permanente website (I'm trusting that as one of the largest health insurance providers in the country, they know what they are talking about):
"Beginning January 1, 2014, the Affordable Care Act requires most U.S. citizens and legal residents in the U.S. to have minimum essential health coverage."
To repeat: U.S. CITIZENS AND LEGAL RESIDENTS.
This is the individual mandate first proposed by the Heritage Foundation and championed by Republicans – until, of course, President Obama included it in the Affordable Care Act. Suddenly it was a horrible idea – notwithstanding the successful implementation of it by Mitt Romney in Mass ...
Lighten up, you wingnuts get to keep your junk policies for another year.
@ora pike: "Elizabeth Liorente reports on how Latinos are also turning against obamatator-everyone is starting to get it about obamacare-we all lose our policies because this is socialized health care. "
No, we don't all lose our policies and this is NOT socialized healthcare. FACT: Only about 3% of people who had junk policies are having to change. And since the insurance is bought from private companies, this is capitalism, not socialism.
Since you have access to the Internet, Ora, why don't you try using the free online dictionaries in the future before you next spew big words like "socialized" without knowing what they mean.

See my comment to Rick McDaniel; you are both equally ignorant about the residency requirements of Obamacare.
Just googled Elizabeth Liorente ... she's a Fox "news" reporter, which means she wouldn't know the truth if it hit her in the head.

Rick, I hope you realize that "Hispanic" does not equate "Illegal Alien" in America (or perhaps you don't). See, here in the great Southwest, cities like Albuquerque have celebrated 400 years of history. Guess what? The majority of the people who lived there for the bulk of that time were Spanish. Today, all across the Southwest it is common for Hispanics to be 40% of the population LEGALLY. What idiocy will you trot out when we begin to get Hopi of Navajo web sites for the ACA so that they can BUY health insurance?
Get a clue, life isn't one long conspiracy theory.
Gotta love these anti-immigrant posts. Not one of them can prove a single thing they say is true. But we will continue to support their right to spout stupidity. I wonder if anybody ever told them that Jebus was probably not white, blue eyed, with blonde hair.

Where in the article does it mention illegals? We DO have spanish people living in the U.S. legally and pay taxes you know.
Take a look at some of the negative posts on here and you can understand why the GOP lost this massive voting block. Keep up the good work dummies!

How is that Republican re-branding and reach out working for you? Blacks and Latinos know you hate them. Kiss your party goodbye!
It's a lemonade stand that can't make change, and is out of lemonade, no matter the language.
We have to make sure those future democrats can enroll.

Henry ,
It's better they sign up and pay , then not .
It's cost effective not to have non US citizens using the emergence room as there primary care giver .
You know Henry , when it comes to wasting trillions on the Iraq war your perfectly ok with it . Yet when it comes to healthcare you get all huffy . Chill out Bro !
Well there people like republicans that don't want any thing good for American, your always fighting for your fellow Americans not to get hearth care, that's how your love America
