Star-studded help for Obamacare

(CNN) - The White House is about to get some star-powered help in its efforts to repair Obamacare's battered reputation.

A new publicity effort led by Covered California, one of the largest state-based insurance exchanges, will employ celebrities, athletes, musicians and social media personalities to encourage a peer-to-peer conversation about signing up for health care.

"Peer to peer" conversations....progressives talking to their elitist peers, because *privilege* understands the privileged.
That much they get, and they actually have the bucks to buy this pile of manure.

how nice of the liberal elite to sell the unwashed masses overpriced and inferior healthcare plans while they go to the best doctors and hospitals. ones the unwashed masses with obamacare plans are not allowed to go to for treatment.

Ahhh.... what happened to the 'beloved American Icon status' lovingly bestowed upon Bob Barker a few threads back?
The difference between a 'beloved American Icon' and a Hollywood elitist appears to be which side of the aisle they lean to...
Ex: Clint Eastwood incoherently talks to a chair= "'beloved American Icon "
Sean Penn gets a cup of coffee and a paper= Hollywood elitist

What next??? Santa Bama commercials telling us we will all get coal in our stocking unless we buy overpriced government garbage healthcare?

Can you say desperation? I knew you could...

And I bet out of the other side of your mouth you say that only uninformed, poor people who get handouts from the government support the President.

Good thing for you that whiplash is covered under Obamacare ...

If the list of celebrities supporting Obamacare read Tom Selleck, Clint Eastwood, Vince Vaughn, Chuck Norris, Kelsey Grammar, Gary Sinise, Dennis Miller, Patricia Heaton, etc., all the righties would be telling us what great role models they are and what a good thing it was for them to use their celebrity for a good cause.

Since it's progressive celebrities supporting Obamacare, the RWNJs are all wetting their panties and moaning on about how we shouldn't pay any attention.

You shouldn't stereotype a man like Mitt Romney that way , he's a product of who he is .

I have no interest in where any celebrity gets their health insurance, contraceptives, or any other personal "TMI" information. He really thinks this is going to work? People are not getting their cancer treatments because their insurance was cancelled because of Obamacare. We don't care about celebrities' insurance plans! This president has invaded everyone's privacy on every level. It's disgusting – and in many cases now, tragic.

@ Think Again....Maybe! Our celebrities use common sense which is evident by their lack of tatoos.

How nice of the paid posters to constantly project their most deeply held desires for all of us under the old system they claim was so wonderful. There's a mental health bill for you to ignore and destroy coming up: care to wreck more lives?

    That's simply a JOKE!

When you have to resort to celebrities, to try and convince people, then you KNOW this plan is a total BUST!

yet I'm sure you would have no objections to Jon Voight, Clint Eastwood and Kelsey Grammar lending their voices to ads to attack it, would you? No efforts, as usual, to offer an alternative solution, yet plenty of bitching from the usual paid haters.

@Don, Thomas, Real Tom Paine, Think Again,

No, to one and all. I'm just an observer: too little money for subsidies, too much for Medicaid, and drank the poison cool aid along with all of you. The difference is, I got sick, and you absorbed the transparent poo that is the ACA. Happy insurance to all, and to all a good night!

@Donna "What next??? Santa Bama commercials telling us we will all get coal in our stocking unless we buy overpriced government garbage healthcare?"

That would be tame compared to the DDOS attacks, phony websites to deceive people, and beer-campus campaigns to keep young folks from signing up. And these actually happened, you know in reality. Obama would have to go a long way to top conservative thugs.

@freedom–Just gonna break your little ole heart if ObamaCare turns out to be a success isn't it. And it may be well on its way to that end. Your soooooo concerned about people invading your privacy, have you taken a look at CitiBank lately. And the last time I checked, most of the celebrities you whine about are (and I know this will be tough for you ) are........Americans.

Go one! Conservatives have kind of a relative sliding scale when it comes to morality.

I've asked that question of her, just sprayin' and one or two other usual suspects, and I've gotten no response Thomas.
It is almost as if they were ashamed to admit that this is what they do for a living: supporting the Party that is doing everything it can to destroy America's middle class, and if the country swirls down the toilet, that's cool by them too.

@simplyput-"Observer"? Give me a break. You are a second grader, who spews a lopsided point of view but has little and usually no facts to back it up. Revel in your defeat.
