Senate may pull third all-nighter to process nominees

(CNN) - Senators were bracing once again Thursday for an overnight session as an ugly standoff over presidential nominations continued between the parties.

If it happens, it would be the third all-nighter in the last two weeks, a reflection of the lack of cooperation in the chamber since the majority Democrats forced through new rules limiting filibusters over the objections of minority Republicans.

The Democrats did this to themselves just like Obama they don't have to follow their own rules just make them up as you go along.

This is an example of how republicans has destroyed democracy. Up or down votes is the American way.

Well, at least THIS version of the GOP's obstruction keeps them up all night. The good news is stuff is actually getting done!

If it means getting something done like voting on judges, then it is a good idea. If the Republicans would stop stalling and give these people an up or down vote, then there would be little problem. None of the appointments were controversial.

Keep them there through Christmas! Resist this Democrat destruction of the historical Senate processes. One thing is for sure though, when the Democrats lose the Senate for a long time, they are going to squeal like stuck pigs when the Republicans stick it to them. They have truly earned it.

Poor folks. If they worked this hard during the year maybe they wouldn't be scrambling at the last minute.
Don't feel one bit sorry for their all nighters!
It's okay, they will be gone for weeks now while the rest of us have to go to work every day. They'll be fine.
