Chief Justice laments budget, sequester impact on federal courts

Washington (CNN) - Lamenting he is ringing in the new year with an old concern, Chief Justice John Roberts is again warning leaders in the other two branches of government that continuing budget shortfalls and sequestration cuts will create a "bleak" future for the fair administration of justice in the nation's federal courts.

In his annual year-end report on the judiciary, Roberts on Tuesday said the courts have already made significant unilateral cuts in funding, adding a prolonged reduction by Congress would be extremely hard to overcome.

The Sequester is the consequence of the Citizens United ruling which has funneled unlimited, unaccountable millions into our elections. Those millions are what created the tea bags and elected them to office – a bunch of dimwits who think bringing our nation to its knees economically is the right thing to do.

You made this bed, Johnny-Boy, now lie in it.

There you go , a treat straight from the Tea Party to the country . They were so happy about sequestration , slapping each other on the back , so proud of what they inflicted on the country . Cutting everything regardless of the effect is about as irresponsible as it gets but the Tea Party does'nt care about anyone or anything but their own warped view of how the rest of us should live and be governed . Then , they shut the government down and that cost the country 24 billion dollars . My , how responsible , and Ted Cruz says he stands by the shutdown . When is he going to pay the 24billion back ? Their true colors came out during the shutdown when Cruz , Lee and Palin stood under a Confederate battleflag with their hands over heart and pledged allegiance to the flag . How can be so blind or foolish ?

Chief Justice Roberts should look no further than Republican Tea Partiers in Congress for blame. The Republican Party owns the budget shortfalls and sequestration cuts.

He has no one to blame but HIMSELF. He was the one who personally, enabled ObamaCare........and destroyed America.

stop whining roberts and suck it up. or as nancy says, embrace the suck. i'd have more sympathy for your cause if you had done your job and not concocted some insane reason to find obamacare constitutional when it clearly was not. so sorry, all the money must now go to pay for the massive new government entitlement called obamacare.

Perhaps the Chief Justice should seek funding from the corporations he sided with in the Citizens United decision. The Court might look good with a Nike swoosh over the front.
