Washington (CNN) - The Republican National Committee is once again setting its sights on Vice President Joe Biden.
The party committee Monday put out an email and research brief release, "A Walk Down Biden's Memory Lane," which highlights news reports of some of the gaffes from the Vice President's failed bid for the 2008 Democratic presidential nomination. It's the third time since August that the RNC has attacked Biden's future presidential aspirations.
The email comes just days after the sixth anniversary of Biden's announcement that he was ending his White House bid. The then-senator from Delaware suspended his presidential campaign after a disappointing fifth place finish in the January 3, 2008 Iowa caucuses, in which he grabbed only one percent of the Democratic vote.
The RNC put out a video last summer of Biden teaming up with President Barack Obama at a campaign-style event in Scranton, Pennsylvania. The video characterized an education event in the city where the Vice President was born as the first step in the "Biden 2016 kickoff tour." During the event, Obama heaped praise on the Vice President, noting it was the five year anniversary of Biden joining his presidential ticket in 2008. The president said that was "the best decision I ever made politically."
The RNC also needled Biden about his possible White House aspirations with an email release in November, when the Vice President turned 71.
Biden has not said whether he'll make a third run in 2016 for the Democratic presidential nomination. Besides his 2008 campaign, he also launched an unsuccessful White House bid in 1988.
"All signs point to him running and clearly as the sitting Vice President he's a viable candidate," RNC Press Secretary Kirsten Kukowski told CNN.
If she decides to run for the White House again, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton would be considered the Democrats' overwhelming pick for the presidential nomination in 2016. But a CNN/ORC International poll conducted in November indicated that if Clinton did not run, Biden would become the clear frontrunner for the Democratic nomination.
The RNC has already been targeting Clinton, as has the pro-GOP opposition research shop America Rising. And two anti-Clinton super PACs have been up and running for months.
Sounds like the RNC is scared of Clinton & Biden. It'll be funny if neither one of them runs.
Just go out and buy a shotgun and fire it off your back porch!! And did you hear and see about all the Indians running Seven Elevens these days?! What is up with THAT?!!
scared of Biden already? Lol!!...
who you gonna put forth to debate Biden other than Canadian card-carrying citizen Ted Cruz...who will be frothing in the mouth abt guns n country!!!
Old Joe will wipe the floor with any gop tea potty freaks....ask Paul Ryan if his behind still hurts after debating Joe!!!
Really he party trying to blame Iraq on Obama, of rape apologists and Rand Paul are going to try a pre-emptive assault on the Vice President?
Here's a concept losers- you have nothing to run on as accomplishments from the last 5 years. Try doing something about your own sorry record first.
It is a bit early in the game for the GOP to be showing their fear of losing in 2016. Shouldn't they first worry over who will become THEIR presidential nominee? Yeah, I know. They've got some very slim pickings to choose from.

Should be a pretty short trip.
Joe is a non-event for 2016....move on.
Look guys, Biden may say some wacky things but nothing compares to the gaffe king George W. Bush. I mean, I had a legitimately published poster on my wall in college with all of the crazy things Bush said. I just find it funny that Republicans have a hawk eye when it comes to Biden but were completely deaf between the years 2001-2009.
He has some good ones alright, no worse than Palin though.
It is obvious, GOP thugs never make with their dilapidated ideology to rust.y, nonsense idiocy. They are defunct. Yes, on Hillary16.
O'drama ya Mama, ALL the gaffs of VP Biden would not fit on a poster, but good to know how UNBIASED you are.
Go Joe im a independent i will vote for Joe if he run..
Lynda/Minnesota, is that why democrats already started with the mudslinging, lies and blaming the other side for their shortcomings.
