(CNN) - Anthony Weiner is stepping back into the political scene–well, at least the fictional political scene.
The former Congressman will make an appearance in the season finale Friday of the Amazon original series "Alpha House," a spokesman for the show confirmed Wednesday.

Also set to appear in the finale is CNN senior legal analyst Jeffrey Toobin and former Republican National Committee Chairman Michael Steele.
The comedy, which debuted last year, is about four Republican Senators who live together as roommates in Washington. The show stars John Goodman, Mark Consuelos, Clark Johnson, and Matt Malloy.
CNN Chief Congressional Correspondent Dana Bash got a close look last year at the original "Alpha House," a home on Capitol Hill known as "The Omega House" and shared by Sen. Dick Durbin, D-Illinois; Sen. Chuck Schumer, D-New York; and Rep. George Miller, D-California.
Weiner, a Democrat from New York, resigned from Congress in June 2011 after lying about sending lewd photos and messages to multiple women.
He attempted to make a political comeback last year in the New York City mayoral race. But after another woman came forward to prove Weiner kept sexting after he left Congress, his campaign quickly fell flat and Weiner finished far behind the other candidates in the Democratic primary.
