Christie bridge controversy: Traffic snarl delayed EMS, official says

(CNN) - Rescuers faced delays during medical emergencies because of traffic jams that appear to be tied to a political scandal engulfing former appointees of New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, according to a letter obtained by CNN Wednesday.

Ambulances and paramedics in Fort Lee, New Jersey, got stuck in gridlock caused by a "new traffic pattern" on the George Washington Bridge in September, EMS Coordinator Paul E. Favia wrote in a letter to the town's mayor.

Time for an independent investigator to be appointed to determine if any crime was committed. Gov Christie should cancel future flights to Iowa since any chance for making a presidential run in 2016 dropped to zero. He should save his money to hire a lawyer.

Unbelievable... How can Christie claim this was the 'first time' he heard of it when two of his top administrative officials resigned weeks ago for their involvement?

The good citizens of NJ do not deserve this abusive bullying of Christie's administration.

  4. ThinkAgain - If you want Congress to actually do something FOR the American people, vote out the Repub/tea bag majority

Christie's and his staff's actions were not only petty, they were dangerous, showing an incredible lack of judgement.

If I were Christie, I'd kiss my 2016 hopes goodbye.

Obstruction of the right of way for any emergency vehicle is an offence often followed by an arrest of the person or persons that caused the incident to happen. If he's been caught in the act of such a despicable offence we sure as hell don't need him, or any of his ilk in positions of authority.

Thank you Mr. Christie for giving Ms. Clinton the White House. You were the last hope of the dying GOP. Maybe they will run Palin or Cruz.

This is what some of us have been saying all along. A handshake with a Democratic president means nothing. He had to help his state after a hurricane.
What's next if this bully becomes president? Push the button because Putin and another leader doesn't like him or says something about him or does something he doesn't like?
This is just the door to the closet being opened just a tiny bit. More skeletons will follow!
