Texts, e-mails suggest political vendetta in NJ bridge controversy

(CNN) - E-mails emerged on Wednesday purportedly from top aides to New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie that bolster the case that access lane closures to the George Washington Bridge were borne from a political vendetta against opponents of the governor, and were not the result of an incompetent traffic study as his administration claimed.

"Time for some traffic problems in Fort Lee," Bridget Anne Kelly, Christie's deputy chief of staff for legislative and intergovernmental affairs, e-mailed David Wildstein, then the highest-level political appointee representing the state at the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey.

"whether this particular issue will last all the way to the Presidential primaries "

It will...and Clinton and her supporters don't even need to bother being involved in it. Randroid, Cowboy Fonzie, the Ayatollah Santorum...they're all going to skewer Christie with it during the primaries and probably before.

Romney is STILL NOT My Hero

Another shining example of leadership from Christie Creme. Where is the outrage over this from the tea chuggers? Kiss 2016 goodbye!
    --------------------
Rand Paul is the Tea Party's golden boy. They can't stand Christie. He lost the 2012 general election for Romney. They prefer to ignore the fact that Romney's polling numbers started tanking a week before Sandy hit because of the false Jeep commerical, which the Romney campaign stood behind. "Yeah, we're lying, but we ain't gonna admit it."

After the Bush/Cheney/Rove Monster, America doesn't need another Political Meanie in the White House.

So much for the theory that he was a straight-shooter. It either means he was directly involved in what was going on, or he was oblivious: incompetant or corrupt is not a nice choice.

Emails don't look good if you put them in a context favorable to guilty act. But, when I read the emails without any context I was not able to see them as anything concrete or would have lead me to believe something needed to be investigated. Emails tend to be misleading sometimes, so you have to be careful. This is not enough to go on, unless one of the two aids come forward and confesses.

Christie sure did dodge a bullet though. Thank goodness this was only 4 days of endangering hundreds of thousands of "Buono voters." Had he tweeted a picture of his Gubernatorial Manhood, CNN and the rest of the MSM would already be using the word "resign" every other sentence while their bobbleheads bloviate continuously about whether that is where this might be headed.

OMG, Christie's still claiming he knows Nothing!! On the up side, political antics are Much More entertaining than any 'reality show' out there & it happens in real time & they're not trying to entertain but cover their tracks (impossible in the info era)! On the down side, heads will & should 'roll,' because of the hideous nature of this deed, that wreaked havoc on innocent NJ citizens, just for an opportunity to stick it to the 'opposition'! Technology goes forward while people in power still use dated methods to 'win'! It's a sad comment on the snail's pace evolution of human decency!!

So proud of my Governor. Too bad he was re-elected.

Romnut lost his own election. Please don't put all the blame on Gov. Lard. Ayn "Rand" the second is going to destroy them from within. Can't wait to see them implode.

This dirty political trickster incident casts a new light on Gov Christie and it is not favorable. Moderate and independent voters leaning towards Christie should beware the wolf in sheep's clothing.
