Poll: Majority support for extending jobless benefits

Washington (CNN) - As a push to extend unemployment benefits for the long-term unemployed faces an uncertain future in Congress, a new national poll indicates majority support for a three-month extension.

According to a Quinnipiac University survey, 58% of registered voters nationwide say they favor a three-month extension of the benefits for people currently out of work.

Alaska closer to becoming 3rd state to legalize recreational marijuana

(CNN) - Marijuana prohibition laws are slowly going up in smoke.

An Alaska citizens' group is pushing to legalize recreational marijuana, which would make it the third state to do so after Colorado and Washington.

NJ lawmaker wants investigation into bridge controversy

New Jersey Governor Chris Christie will hold a press conference today at 11 a.m. ET in Trenton, according to a release from the Governor’s office.

(CNN) - N.J. State Sen. Ray Lesniak told CNN he will formally request an investigation into the Gov. Chris Christie administration over the George Washington Bridge controversy.
