No. 2 House Dem blasts 'irresponsible' Iran comments

Washington (CNN) - Rep. Steny Hoyer, the No. 2 House Democrat, blasted as "irresponsible" comments by Obama administration officials who have suggested that lawmakers pushing for tighter sanctions on Iran are increasing the risk of war.

Hoyer, of Maryland, didn't name names, but an aide said he was referring to several comments from various officials over the past month.

it is pretty clear that obama worse fear is that he might actually get iinvolved in a shooting war where he will have to make tough decisions. all he is really interested in is in kicking the iran can down the road and into the lap of the next president. he doesn't even care if they get nukes as long as it is not his problem.

The White House is correct. How much money does Hoyer get from arms sales. Many would love nothing more then a war with Iran. Or for that matter, Canada, Haiti, Scotland, Ireland, anybody. Just give us a war so we can make some money.

I WROTE BEFORE TO WHAT EXTENT THEY NEED US THE SAME EXTENT WE NEED THEM. QUIT ARROGANCE. GOD BLESS!!!

Its more irresponsible and irrational to think that sanctions will stop the existence of any state....there are Cuba, NK, Syria (with or without war), even old Apartheid SA, China, etc... The problem is most members of US Congress are out of time and touch with the real world of today. Thank God is another election year for these outsized nuts.

If the sanctions were set up to have Kerry and others connected to the nuclear negotiation team testify that everything was going well or broken down that would make it better. I would be fine with that.
