Washington (CNN) - As Gov. Chris Christie continues to fend off accusations of corruption in New Jersey, another Republican with possible designs on the White House, Marco Rubio, spent last week 7,000 miles away from the controversy, burnishing his foreign policy resume with a three-country trip through Asia.
The Florida senator made a busy, weeklong visit to the Philippines, Japan and South Korea - a trip that brought him face to face with top officials from all three countries, the boxer Manny Pacquiao and a pair of DMZ-stationed North Korean soldiers, who took pictures of the man who one day may sit in the White House.
FULL STORY

If this man ever sits in the WH, it will be on the visitors chair outside the security station.. not a chance of the Oval office. Really CNN ???
For the man who apparently had the wrong date for the Cuban Revolution, he has a long way to go. I hope he does better abroad than Mr. Romney did.
One day may sit int he White House? Really CNN? Sen. Aquafina better focus on domestic issues and leave the international business alone. How about he take a trip to Cuba and try to mend relations there.
“rivera has been accused of misusing campaign donations for personal use, and Rubio has largely admitted to having done the same thing.
Indeed, the far-right senator was about using a Republican Party credit card to purchase personal items. Rubio conceded it "looks bad," and acknowledged, "I shouldn't have done it that way."
It's worth noting that we're not talking about minor purchases - Rubio billed the state GOP for more than $100,000 during his two-year tenure as Florida's House speaker, including repairs to his family minivan.

"Rubio boosts foreign policy resume with Asia tour"
Maybe you think so, but I think you go too far in just giving him blanket credit. Traipsing around a country and meeting some officials does not "boost" a foreign policy resume or prove that you have a thorough, broad, and deep knowledge of the issues facing that country and the issues involved in our relationship with them. Would I boost my healthcare industry "resume" just by having met briefly with Sebelius or Romney? Oh hey, and I looked at some pictures of Nairobi in Nat'l Geographic the other day...am I know an expert on Nairobi's flora and fauna?
"the man who one day may sit in the White House."
Is this the Onion or CNN?
Boosts? Haha. Dude needs the intellectual equivalent of a booster seat to sit at the table with people like the Clintons or Obama.
Oh, hey. We haven't heard from Rubio for awhile.
From the article:
"who took pictures of the man who one day may sit in the White House."
So, CNN ... do tell. Was this statement included in his press release, or did CNN add the embellishment on their own?

LOL – Don't forget the back wax! He also billed his RPOF credit card for his back waxing!
Boost all you want...You will never be President.
He got that close to N. Korea! How come no one is hammering RUBIO about not negotiating for the release of a U.S. citizen?
Isn't this where the baggers complain about having to pay for Rubio's trip with taxpayer money? Oh the outrage from the right, is just . . . Non existent?
I am not sure that even the Koch brothers have enough money to get him reelected to the senate in 2016.
who took pictures of the man who one day may sit in the White House.
CNN is now comedy news??
Now Tampa Tim..... How dare you bring that subject up??? You know members of the GOP can do whatever they want, travel all over the world on the taxpayer dime, get airlifted by private helicopter to their children's games. But the minute the POTUS travels or golfs, the world is ending.....
Come on TT, I thought you knew that!!
Wake up People!

It's not just Republicans who can travel around the world without issue. Vice-President Biden attended that economic summit and visited a few countries a couple of months back, and we didn't hear a single peep out of them over taxpayer expenses.
this is our dime. fellas. should we be paying for this clown to take a trip??? What are the benefits to the American people????????
Rubio could have learned just as much by going to the library (maintained by tax dollars, no less!) and saved us a bundle.
I must have missed that Rudy. Thanks for telling me.
Btw, how is Mayor Weiner working out? According to Chris....
Inquiring minds want to know: How was the water there, Marco?
One week in the Philippines, Japan and South Korea dos't give Rubio Asian foreign policy experience .
Gives him jet lag .
Rubio will never be President , His space at the last republican convention was all about him , and nothing about reality .
Wake up People!
I must have missed that Rudy. Thanks for telling me.

I just looked it up. In early December, VP Biden took a six-day trip to Japan, China, and Korea. I also seem to remember Obama not attending a conference and someone else, Biden(?), going in his place. I had thought that trip in early December was it. I guess not. I think he missed something during government shutdown in October.
So basically ALL other politicians can travel and no one complains.... But THIS POTUS can't??
Rubio is not ready for higher office. As a matter of fact he's not ready for the office that he 's in currently. The Republican party is in total disarray. There isn't any leadership to be found at any level within their party. Sad.
"The Republican party is in total disarray."
You know it. I know it. I suspect all CNN viewers know it. But, hush. CNN has all but ignored these facts and is trying its best to not to bring such things out and into the open.
Pandora's box ... or something.
