Waukesha, Wisconsin (CNN) - Once, Barack Obama spoke of what he wanted for his presidency in terms of healing a nation divided. "This was the moment when the rise of the oceans began to slow, and our planet began to heal," he said.
Today, Obama is talking about executive orders and executive actions - with a pen or phone - if a divided Congress won't or can't act on an agenda he laid out this week in his State of the Union address.
FULL STORY

The bottom line is simple. Pres. Obama has the authority to take actions, but he'd rather have the support of the People through the Congress. Case in point, Pres. Obama had the executive authority to order action be taken in Syria, but he chose to let the Congress decide what action, if any, should be taken. Congress decided on no action. A result that conservatives have critcized, despite voting to take no action, because the executive authority to act independent was always available.
He/s used the same approach when it comes to economic recovery and enacting his vision, but the Congress has failed to enact a plan of action. This time it seems that the President will exercise that executive authority and take action where the Congress has failed. I wish him the best of luck for all of our sakes.
Do it!..Don`t just make threats. If Obama takes this action the results rest only on his shoulders. He can`t blame congress, the gop, tea party, or fox news if the results are negative.

Normally, I would tend to agree. It's just those inevitable pesky "unintended consequences" of his ill-conceived actions that will be manifested some time down the road. Whomever is in charge at THAT point in time will be blamed.
Mr. President let us know if you need more ink sir!
Why do we need a Congress at all? We have Obama!
So where does the blame belong for the state of the country? The Constitution already gives the people the right to plan their own lives. Some get it right. Others somehow fail and then elected officials try to help. After a while everything gets lost in the shuffle and it's hard to know who is helping who.
I guess Harry Reid slept through that part of the speech, as it took only one day until he put the kibash on fast tracking the trade agreements that Obama wants so much.
