(CNN) - For the first time since e-mails linked his office to the decision to close lanes to the George Washington Bridge, New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie is expected to take questions from Garden State residents Monday night.
Christie will appear on the "Ask the Governor" radio show on New Jersey 101.5 live at 7 p.m. ET.

Christie hasn't held a news conference or taken questions from New Jersey residents on developments in the investigation since January 9, when he held a nearly two-hour news conference the day after the e-mails connecting officials close to Christie to the lane closings emerged.
The governor has not publicly taken questions on accusations against his administration by Hoboken Mayor Dawn Zimmer, who alleged she was warned that Superstorm Sandy recovery funds may be tied to her support for a development project.
And Friday, former Port Authority official and Christie associate David Wildstein claimed in a letter that Christie knew of the lane closings at the time, which is at odds with the governor's account.
He appeared on several sports radio shows last week during the run-up to the Super Bowl, but the hosts said on-air they were limited by Christie's staff to asking questions only on sports.
Christie last took part in the "Ask the Governor" show December 23, when he said of the lane closures that he had asked "my staff to give me a full briefing. They've told me everything that we know. None of this makes sense, it's all about politics."
Christie had no knowledge about 2 lanes of the busiest bridge in the world being closed till he saw it on the news. Wow that is one hell of a Whopper.
So disappointed the only thing they could come up with for a smear campaign is a traffic jam..makes him seem like a better person than most politicians these days with no accountability for financial manipulation and not recalling procedures resulting in the death of four Americans. I was hoping for a smear campaign that would be so much more exciting like a love child with snooks.
A wise man would be silent at this point.

His ego won't let him shut up, shutting up.
He thinks he can handle reporters questions, rs, without digging himself into a deeper hole.
He thinks this even though after his last almost two-hour debacle in front of the press corps he had to lawyer up, purportedly so that he would indeed shut up.
Loose lips have sunk bigger battleships than the SOS Christie, er, SS Christie I meant....
"Like our President answered yesterdays interview questions?"
Obama did indeed answer them. He just referred to facts and evidence and therefore didn't give answers you liked. You wanted to hear all your accusations confirmed, like you daydreamed all weekend that O'Reilly would "corner" him and force him to admit that IRS was all a political conspiracy despite evidence that progressive groups were targeted or that O'Reilly's disrespectful loudmouthed nonsense would somehow break him on Benghazi. Not happening. You guys don't have the evidence to back up your claims, but you insist that it all still happened the way you envision.
I haven't accused Christie of not answering nor predicted he wouldn't. I suspect he'll actually have very carefully planned answers, but that they will skirt around inconvenient facts, like the letter Wildstein's attorney sent last week. The whole thing is still up in the air, no smoking guns have been found yet and I'm still giving him the benefit of he doubt, but the circumstantial evidence still doesn't look good for him. See the difference? Christie isn't convicted yet in my mind and all I did was ASK if he'd answer the questions. Meanwhile, you guys are lighting your hair on fire and running around yelling that Obama did things the evidence doesn't support.
"A wise man would be silent at this point."
True. What gets these guys always seems to be the effort to "stay ahead" of the story and be out in front of any new disclosures or respond to them immediately in order to provide the counterargument. Christie's by no means convicted in my mind yet...no smoking gun...but the circumstantial evidence does not bode well for him and I can't imagine it being a good idea to be out there making statements that wind up coming back to haunt him.
He may take questions. But it doesn't mean he will answer them or be truthful. I wouldn't believe anything this glutton has to say anyway.
Here's a news flash everyone.....with the exception of people who live in the Fort Lee area of NJ, main stream media and the democratic representatives in the NJ Govt....the rest of NJ could care less about the lane closings!! Seriously, how many people lost their jobs, their heathcare plans, their lives or were still fighting to rebuild what they lost in Sandy in those three days in NJ? I think that's more devastating to NJ families than whether lanes were closed causing inconvenient traffic jams! Can we just stop making a big deal about these little things which separate us instead of focusing more on the bigs things that bring the people together? Please stop with the blame game....it's really old folks!
The scary thing is this guy could have been president. Imagin what he would have done as commander and chief of the military.

"Chris Christie to take questions on radio show"
Yes, but will he answer them?
------–
Of course, not. Christie has a perfectly valid excuse not to answer any questions. It's an "active and ongoing investigation", which means he cannot speak about it.
-------------------------------------------------
Christie ego tells him that he is smarter than the lawyers he's hired to protect, er, represent him.
Just like I believed he was triple-chin deep in this Bridgegate fiasco, I also think he will indeed answer SOME questions on the radio.
Now that he's lawyered up though he can fall back on the old standard " I can't answer that as there's an active investigation going on" for any questions that he's unable to dance around.
He will appear willing to take questions but unable to answer like he'd like because of that pesky "active and ongoing investigation" thingy.
The best of both worlds....for the time being, and utnil he says something else that can be disproved.
The whole thing is still up in the air, no smoking guns have been found yet and I'm still giving him the benefit of he doubt
-------------------------------------------------
I'm not.
If I'm wrong I'll apologize to the internet gods...but I don't think I'll have to Sniffit.
His mouth might be open but there will be no truth coming out of it!!
Even assuming Christie didn't order the lane closures and he is telling the truth in that regard, I have an issue with the leadership – how deep did he actually look into as to why it happened? Traffic study – who paid for it; what was it about? what came out of it etc. etc...are all the questions I would have asked, probably to ensure nothing was left unturned. Lord knows he had time to do that.
Don't expect anything new. He is in full defensive mode and will play the poor abused victim again.
To: RigbyS, the reason this is a big deal is: if this is a pattern of behavior then it impacts the rest of the state of NJ; and if he were to run for the Presidency, then it impacts the rest of the nation. If this is the tip of the iceberg, then it needs to be looked into and dealt with
"making a big deal about these little things which separate us instead of focusing more on the bigs things that bring the people together? Please stop with the blame game....it's really old folks!"
This isn't "blame game." Nobody at all is saying Dems caused the bridge closings. There's no back and forth of parties trying to shift blame for this to the other. What don't you understand about the potential that federal and state crimes were committed here all the way up to (possibly) the highest level of NJ government? Corruption on a scale that could lead to several people spending a not-insubstantial amount of time behind bars? That could lead to the resignation or impeachment of a governor who just won a ridiculous landslide re-election and who, some of the additional accusations say, was behind threats in Hoboken that tied Sandy relief funding to a real estate development the governor wanted to be approved? Of course this is going to get focus. If this goes wrong for Christie and those involved, it could be a fantastically huge mess and will serve as an example of the kind of corruption and hubris in government that we're ALL angry about.
They will screen questions and he will not answer any of the "approved" questions. He should stay in radio silence until he is forced to answer questions under oath. Then, in my opinion only, it is all over for him. He'll be lucky to continue on as governor, and not be a cast member in Orange is the New Black.
"Ask the Governor"
Has your life changed since Ann Coulter stopped supporting your presidential aspirations ?
I love when I hear conservatives say, "he acted like a leader, took responsibility and fired people". No no no! He SAID he was taking responsibility WHILE blaming his loyal staff. And then he THREW THEM UNDER THE BUS calling them liars and stupid and fired them to save his own butt. I don't know why you people think THAT is leadership!

So Rigby, the fact that apparently one person actually died because of the fake-o traffic jams doesn't resonate with you? The fact the traffic jams were artificially caused doesn't resonate with you? It simply is AOK with you as long as it doesn't reach some threshold of reality for you?
Maybe next time when someone you care about is affected you might. Stop being so self-centered and consider the nature of what is going on here.

Well I'm sorry you dont care about this but that doesnt make the possible crime irrelevant. How does the governor of NJ not know about bridge closures for 4 days on the busiest bridge in the country when every news station in NJ and NY were reporting on the closures from the start. How does one hire a staff that would willingly go against their bosses wishes and hide this information from him? Regardless of whether he is directly involved there is still his lack of involvement within his administration to allow your employees to do this without suspecting anything.
What's the verse You sow what you reap...Well when you hire people that mirror your attitude, characteristics it may come back to haunt you as in Christies case..He hires big mouth bullies, some mindless at that and after throwing them under your bus he expects them to keep quiet, yah when pigs fly bud..Better stock up on those Crispy Creme Donuts Christie and watch the fireworks ,they're yours...Hey ,just how many impeachment calls will you take Christie until you decide to take their advise!!!You're toast bud, like it or not!!
