Obamacare may push people out of the workforce

New York (CNNMoney) - Many workers may opt to work less to retain their eligibility for Medicaid or federal subsidies under Obamacare, a new report has found.

The Affordable Care Act could reduce the labor force by the equivalent of 2.5 million workers in 2024, according to the non-partisan Congressional Budget Office's annual outlook.

Fair, do you agree that the headline does not match what the article says? The headline says "Obamacare may push people out of the work force." The first sentence of the article says that "many workers may opt to work less...."

"Everyone who read the ACA knew this was going to happen back in 2010. this is old news and those who voted for Obama should not be surprised since this is what they voted for.
    You mean it's not FREE??????"

Of course it's not free, but it's still going to reduce the deficit according to this very same CBO report AND the deficit will continue to drop this year, reaching only $517B, the lowest since Bush's last budget, despite the ACA existing, costing money and being implemented. Of course, CNN deliberately leaves out parts of the CBO report like that and focuses on a deliberately dishonest spin of another section, carelessly and uncritically adopting GOP/Teatroll talking points about it because they favor controversy over journalism..

Your insults don't change the fact that there are people with major health issues losing their insurance and doctors at this very moment, due to Obamacare – in addition to losing their jobs.

Really? Point to an example of someone you actually know that has lost their job, their insurance and their doctor. I doubt that you can do that, since all you seem to do is spray out anecdotal evidence.

Thomas – "And Obama gives us a half way measure that is half empty !"

I agree. He had a better plan but kept compromising to get some republican votes. Barry should have learned from how the repubs treated Clinton (Bill, that is) that repubs would rather obstruct that work for the good of the USA.

Obamacare gives too much to insurance companies and too little for health care. Still much better than doing nothing. Lotta money wasted for the sake of BigBidness.
