Dallas, Texas (CNN) - Ready for Hillary, the independent group laying groundwork for a potential Hillary Clinton presidential bid in 2016, will make its first public foray into the early primary state of South Carolina later this month with a fundraiser in the state capital of Columbia.
The low dollar event – like many Ready for Hillary fundraisers, the price of admission is just $20.16 – will be hosted by state Rep. Bakari Sellers “and special guests,” according to a copy of the Feb. 20 invitation obtained by CNN.

Officials from the super PAC, operating with the tacit blessing of Clinton and her allies, have already made appearances in Iowa and New Hampshire, the two leadoff voting states in the presidential nominating process.
That Sellers agreed to co-host the event is significant: A young African-American state legislator and the son of a civil rights legend, Sellers was an early backer of Barack Obama’s presidential primary campaign in the state in 2008.
With overwhelming support from the state’s black voters, Obama trounced Clinton in the South Carolina primary and righted his campaign after a stunning loss a week earlier in New Hampshire. Seeing the writing on the wall that evening, Clinton picked up and left South Carolina before the final results were even tallied, flying on to the Super Tuesday state of Tennessee.
Sellers, now running for Lt. Governor, called the fundraiser “exciting” and said he wants “to do whatever we have to do to get the Democratic base excited for this November and the future of 2016.”
“I’m proud and honored people in her camp would involve me in that process,” he told CNN.
Asked if he would endorse Clinton if she decides to run again, Sellers said, “It’s hard to say you would endorse somebody who isn’t running yet.”
But, he added, “I support the former first lady. It’s early. But I do support these efforts.”
You had your chance Hillary...Once is enough....!
Rudy NYC – "Romney ... allowed his campaign to get beat up all summer by the Obama campaign because they lacked the funds to fight back
Rudy, you put me in the awkward position of sounding like I may be defending romney, but I believe his predicament was due to some issue of campaign finance law and the republican convention. Not being able to spend funds he had until after the convention, something like that. They ran low on primary funds, but couldn't tap into the general election money.
Rudy,
seems he borrowed $20 million or so from Himself! Probably the only one who would trust him for that much.
You know, a couple of days ago I decided to run a little social science experiment to see who I could flush out with a few deliberately provacative comments, and you know what? It worked beyond my wildest dreams. 48 hours after the fact, though, tom l is still foaming about this. For the last time, tom, it was done tongue-in-cheek: go home, open a good bottle of wine and relax ( provided there are no little ones around). If you cannot see the humor in yourself, you need to start before you shorten your life considerably. Learn to laugh, most of all, at yourself. We supply ourselves with the best material we will ever see, so lighten up, or you will become barren.
@Dutch-I don`t know about SC, you sure didn`t sneak a hit of red sunshine before that statement.lol
@ tom I
But you forgot to add that other message of mine in which I stated that no doubt I was mistaken (in that perhaps I take your "I think you think comments too literally).
You do that you know. Run on and on by saying "I think you think ... blah, blah, blah). That actually was the point of my comment you referenced to Rudy.
Can't wait to see the GOBP stuff Jeb Bush down the tea potty's throats 2012 Mitt the twit style.
Man oh man, Real TP, do you misread me. I sent a message yesterday that didn't get posted saying that I apologized if I misinterpreted your comment and added that perhaps I should look in the mirror. I really didn't realize that's what you were doing. As evidence that I have learned, read my post on the dude that hopped the fence.

@ smith...Why a rotten one? Just a very ripe, juicy one.

Yes, nothing says Conservative values like a pointless joke about heaving fruit at a public figure you don't like. However , if you did, I would love to see the Secret Service tase your sorry a$$ afterwards, and play back the footage repeatedly.

I think they are at a loss after realizing the neither Bengh@zi" or "Monica" will draw anything but laughs.
I am trying to start a rumor about Ms.Clinton's birth certificate though.
Fat, old white woman who gravy-trained off of her husband.
"she'll convert some republican women to vote for her as well."
And she already has the help of the Republican men for that too.
