Washington (CNNMoney) - The House on Tuesday passed a bill to restore pension increases for some 750,000 military retirees.
The House voted 326 to 90 to undo cuts to cost-of-living hikes for military pensions for all current retirees and anyone who enlisted before Jan. 1. The Senate is expected to vote Wednesday.

Another gop bait and switch, you can't possibly think they care political props again . Memorial closing was enough for me, spare me the theatrics.
Pensions for vets? Republicans don't believe in that.
This will be interesting to see the votes on this issue.
Did the Republicans cut someting else in order to pay for it? Their own code of conduct says that they must cut something.
-–Repugnance want to cut funding, what can you expect? GOP is sad.
What will the GOBaggers cut in order to correct their stupidity?
My question is why did they do this in the first place?

Not a problem. All this immature behavior and phony posturing is ensuring that they are "cutting" off their nose to spite their face, as the saying goes.
Well the House voted to restore military pensions. Now its time to see what the senate will do.

Vastly bipartisan with the people who voted against it (mostly Teatrolls) being mostly the same people who try to run around claiming that Dems are the ones who don't care about our military personnel and veterans.
Have not noticed that the GOP has become the party of retribution? When there's a problem ( even perceived), some one needs to be punished. Voter fraud...punish the voters. Healthcare fraud.....take away healthcare. Food assistance fraud..... let them eat.............

The legislation pays for the restoration of benefits by extending the sequester cuts to mandatory spending under Medicare for one year, through 2024 instead of 2023.

The final count was 326-90. The bill was opposed by 19 Republicans and 71 Democrats.
Republicans are such hypocrites! They wrap themselves in the flag and call themselves patriots and then screw the people who fight for our liberty! Vote them all out!
In further news, before passing the veterans' benefits bill the House passed H.R. 3193, which is a proposal that would restructure the Consumer Protections Financial Bureau. The proposal would remove the Treasury Department's jurisdiction over the CPFB, and place it under a five-member board. I see this as a first step in dissolving the CPFB.
Democrats put this cut in. They hate military spending of any kind. Glad to see the Republicans corrected the Democrats mistake and attack on our veterans.

Obama hates the military and is cutting it AND will use the military to take over.
Obama has done nothing AND is taking over everything.
ACA will fail on its own AND the GOP has to defeat it or it will succeed.
We all just hear blah, blah, blah, Random noise. Try to keep it quiet while you are running around aimlessly.
As a vet i feel like we were being used to figth the gop's, and their rich masters wars, all the fan fair yellow ribbons stckers support our vets, that support means give them what they need to figth. Then when the war is over, go to hell we have to take care of our rich masters at the expense of us vets take away their food stamps, and do not create any jobs for them, and let they and their families suffer. what a shame, if Americans stands with vets they must fire these clowns Nov 2014.

The majority party in the House writes the bills, Johnnie. That means Republicans. The benefits were originally cut because Republicans wanted to restore sequester cuts on defense spending. However, in their enthusiasm to re-ignite the military industrial complex they seem to have had forgotten that they needed to pay for their increased spending. Democrats held the Republicans' feet to the fire as they ate crow, and came up with cutting another part of the defense budget, veterans' benefits.
The reasons for opposing it may range from a desire to cut government spending to thinking that the veterans were owed more as a result of Congress playing Russian Roulette. I suggest people think about that possibility before drawing predictably partisan conclusions about the motives behind the votes.
