Obamacare sign ups jump to 3.3 million
New York (CNNMoney) - Obamacare exchanges grew in popularity in January with 1.1 million people picking health insurance plans in state and federal exchanges last month.
That brings total sign-ups since the exchanges opened four months ago to 3.3 million, according to federal data released Wednesday.

Is this client self employed, or is this an employer provided health care plan? One can always go out and shop around, except if you live in a red state that didn't expand Medicare. In that case, your options and choices tend to be limited.

@ The REAL Truth....What should we talk about or rather "chatter"? How really well thought out and planned this law was? How beneficial it is for some while the rest of the working people pay for it? Or perhaps more left wing Bruha about inflated numbers and how the young are just flocking to sign up. Or how about the money Americans will save under the ACA? Your credibility as a supporter of the ACA is trash. This is the real world here, not a rabbit hole where cats smile and the Queen of Hearts reside.

More like 2.5 months, CNN. You don't get to throw a nontroversy festival about it being totally broken all of October and most of November but then ignore that it essentially wasn't "up" those months when trying to spread out the sign ups and hide what's really happening. The reality is that almost all of the 3.3M were during December and January and the few days thus far in February. There was a massive spike at the deadline, which was predicted, and they (including insurance companies) expect another massive spike near the next deadline. Now, it's possible that they won't reach the 7M mark they hoped for as a result of the lost months, but they'll come close and March 31, 2014 is not game over under any stretch of the imagination.

Celebrating these numbers is pretty funny. What part of "mandate" don't they understand? They are compelled to do this or they are essentially breaking the law. What else would they expect?

The people signing up are not paying and not the age people needed to pay for the program just like everything else Obama and his party does leaves our grandchildren holding the bag including the 10 billion loss we gave GM from their so called loan.
