(CNN) - Sarah Palin has her doubts about Chris Christie.
The former Alaska governor, who resigned during her first term, suggested the New Jersey Republican should have been aware of the scandal that's now roiling his administration.
"It's hard to be the CEO of an organization and not know what the closest people to you are up to," she said this week in an interview with Inside Edition. "It's tough not to know. I know when I was mayor and manager of this city and then governor of the state, certainly you know what your top aides are up to."
"I just hope that truth is being told right now," she added.
Christie's office declined to comment on herĀ remarks.
Palin and Christie haven't been the best of friends. In the past year, she's referred to his weight as "extreme" and argued he wasn't "rogue." She said his confrontational reputation amounts to nothing more than a "schtick" set up by his office and he's a "go-along-to-get-along" type of politician who favors more government.
Christie denies having any involvement or knowledge of the decision to close access lanes to the George Washington Bridge–the nation's busiest–last year. The lane closures and resulting traffic gridlock turned the city of Fort Lee into a parking lot for days.
The governor fired some of his top aides after emails surfaced that suggested they had orchestrated the traffic jam as a political vendetta against the Democratic mayor of Fort Lee after he didn't endorse Christie's re-election bid.
Christie's office is now under investigation by a state legislative committee with subpoena power and the U.S. Attorney's Office in New Jersey.
While Palin isn't so sure about Christie, Gov. Scott Walker of Wisconsin came to the New Jersey Republican's defense, saying Christie should keep his post as chairman of the Republican Governors Association.
Walker said he spoke to Christie the same day of his epic two-hour press conference last month.
"He told me the same thing in private that he did to the press in New Jersey, and I have every reason to believe that the information he said is consistent with the truth, and so I still support him in his role as governor and his role in the RGA," he told CNN affiliate WISN.
Just go away to search for Russia from the roooooooooooooffffffff.....
Wow! Bet I don't care what she thinks. Bet very few others care either.
Palin cue the hate 3 2 1.
Ahhh, the GOP circular firing squad at work. Naturally it would involve the separatist Palin. Classy!
well now she's gone and done it. The harpie from Alaska is now going to make Crispy look reasonable to many voters. She is a cancer to any candidate who doesn't follow the purity plan
Boy if Palin doesn't trust yah than who can. What a viable source of honesty, political cleanliness...Can't we have a day without the airhead from Wasilla, please go away !!

Look, Sarah. I appreciate your conservative values. I don't appreciate your fringe appeal. Want to help the GOP in 2014 / 2016? Bring your fringe more into the mainstream. Otherwise, you're a part of the problem.
As much as I dislike Sarah, I agree with her. Christy is lying through his teeth. During his 2 hour lie fest, he could barely keep the smirk off his face. What kind of governor doesn't know what their top aides are doing? And with his narcissism, does anyone really believe this was done without his knowledge?
Sorry Christy, I don't trust you as far as I could throw you.

Fair, you are asking someone with arguably the least inhibited mouth of any political figure in the country to discipline herself for the good of the country: the only problem is she confuses what is good for her bank account with what is good for the nation. Don't hold your breath. That fringe is what keeps her in the public eye, and they will keep her there, as long as they deem her relevant, and they will keep the money flowing to her.
She may be a racist numbskull, but I agree with her on this.
"I just hope that truth is being told right now," she added."
Also, too.
Fair, that is their problem, every candidate the gop has is extreme, it just won't work. The gop candidates have to act like lunatics to get money, then try to convince the sane their not. Its not looking good for them, IMHO.
Doesn't mean much considering the source
You know your in trouble if your on the right and Palin doesn't believe you.
We need to stop speculating, and allow those who are investigating, to find some real evidence. So far, none has been presented.
Is there a microphone, or camera, this woman won't jump in front ot? Who cares what Sarah Palin thinks?
Really Ricky??? We need to stop speculating??? And allow those investigating to find some real evidence?? Did you afford the same thing to the POTUS in regards to the nontroversies of Benghazi or the IRS? How about when the GOP led house decided they would attempt to impeach AG Holder??? No you didn't. You people sicken me, a real scandal where someone lost their life due to others with thug mentalities, and everyone should just hold hands and sing Kumbaya.
You're always talking about a dictator, where there's one right before your eyes. He's the Tony Soprano of politics.
Was she telling the truth when she said the reason of quitting her job? We came to realise she was chasing the holes where she can dig a lot of dollars.
Isn't her 15 minutes of fame over by now?
"Palin not so sure Christie's telling the truth"
To be fair, Jabberwocky Barbie also isn't sure which hand is left and which hand is right.

Indeed. Problem is, what you're suggesting wouldn't be all that lucrative for her.
Said the pot to the kettle.

We're talking about Christie, not Benghazi. By the way, are you ready to fire on Fort Sumter?
