CNN's Ana Cabrera interviews George P. Bush - the grandson of former President George H.W. Bush, nephew of former President George W. Bush, and the son of former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush - as he carries out his own campaign for Texas land commissioner.
Looks like the hate and vitriol is out in force today on the left (as usual). The kid is running for LAND COMMISSIONER! Who the heck cares?! Leave him alone and let him do his civic duty if he gets elected.

The Land Commesioner picks winners and losers. It sounds like normal Texas politics to me. Mixing business with pleasure.
A real job requires real commitment, and teamwork, yea, not nearly as fulfilling.

Yeah, Donna.. blah, blah, blah. Ur rw leanings are well known.. But's there's no problem with the presumed GOP Gubernatorial candidate in TX to parade Ted (the rabid mad-dog mongrel Nuge) Nugent at a campaign stop with his accompanying vitriol? Or OK for the Veritas Project (another BLATANTLY rw funded 5014c org hidings its donors while masquerading as an independent org ) to publish "suitably edited" video of Dems in TX "allegedly" carrying out illegal activity??? It's no wonder (much like corps for union avoidance training) that these orgs advise their folks on O'Keefers!

freedom
Obama has done nothing to help his own race in this country, let alone the Hispanics. They are smart enough to know they have not been helped. And they're not afraid of work – like Obama would like them to be – only dependent on the almighty government. They have family values and faith and want to make a living to support their families. Obama is trying to destroy this ethic.

Pardon me. I forgot who I was trying to have conversation with....and evidently so did you.

Also Donna, where were you when Ted Nugent was saying what he said? I had really hoped some of those that comment here that are always saying no one hates the POTUS because of his color would have spoken up. Alas I was disappointed......

@ Donna, have you come up with an exact dollar figure for the value of human life yet? It seems as though money is the only thing you care about: certainly learning the truth about something, relatively free of bias, is not one of them.

@Donna: "Looks like the hate and vitriol is out in force today on the left (as usual). The kid is running for LAND COMMISSIONER! Who the heck cares?! Leave him alone and let him do his civic duty if he gets elected."
Here's the mission statement for the office: The Texas General Land Office serves the schoolchildren, veterans, and all people of Texas by preserving their history, protecting their environment, expanding economic opportunity, and maximizing state revenue through innovative administration and prudent stewardship of state lands and resources.
And, Land Commissioner is the oldest, continuous elected position in Texas history (established in 1836, the office predates the Governor and all other state executive positions).
It sounds like a position with a lot of influence and potentially definite, high monetary ramifications, given the natural resources found in Texas. I'm sure there are a lot of Texas oil industry (and other) folks who'd love to have a Bush in their pocket.
It's a stepping stone towards the national stage. Bush name, Hispanic tie-in. If Baby Bush can't stand the heat, he should get out of the kitchen.

I find it difficult to fathom Americans having the stomach for another bush.
I guess he can't get a real job and create wealth...so he'll opt for politics and self-enrichment.
