TRIVIA ANSWER from @sarafischer
American author Mason Locke Weems, commonly known as Parson Weems, was the first person to write about the mythical tale of George Washington and the cherry tree.
Weems wrote many biographies of historical figures, his most famous being his 1800 biography of President George Washington called ‘The Life of Washington,’ published the year after the President’s death.
Weems also created the story about Washington praying at Valley Forge, as well as several other legends about Washington that many people today use to frame their understanding of the nation’s first president.

He makes the Republicans look really, really bad.
Add him to the list.
That is not much of an apology if Ted Nugent does not make it to President Obama who he has been so hateful and evil toward. It sounds good until you see he really does not apologize to the one who he has insulted. That is not a good bankruptcy plan for Detroit either. The workers pensions should not be cut by 34%. We know people worked their entire lives and they need to be seriously considered in what is determined in Detroit.
Oh please, no more on Ted Nugent. The whole country knows that he and half the state of Texas are brain dead.
"CNN’s State of the Union with Candy Crowley on Sunday at 9:00am"
Just another hour of bobbleheaded conservative mansplaining and talking point word salads that get absolutely not critical challenge. Toss those salads Candy, toss 'em. These Sunday shows are still coming out in studies as mostly just male guests (something like 75%+) and heavily tilted towards conservatives.
"A proposal to split California into six separate states has moved one step closer to getting on a ballot for vote "
DOA nonsense. But oh what fun if they get to name a state Jefferson. Then, just like Washington, they can name a town George and oh what a hoot...
Republicans make republicans look really bad.
As a devote Teapublican, I will withhold all judgment until Sarah P tells me what to think, thank you.
Back in the sixties he didn't suck. What happened?
So Governor Opps is on the "I am a candidate for POTUS trail" again. So we are going see a steady stream of "I will say whatever the audience I am speaking to wants to hear" video and sound bites. This will be entertaining.
Typical GOP non apology. November comes quickly for ALL of them.
Ted and many Americans has has lost a sense of civility, politicians, preachers, the list is infinite
Why did the Motor City Mad Man " Ted Nugent " move to Texas , when did he sell out , why is it alway's the wana be Texan's who wear a ten gallon hat with a size 1 head ?
