Washington (CNN) - The Democratic National Committee is working to leverage the voter data and election tools refined during Barack Obama's historically tech-savvy campaigns in upcoming elections.
The DNC said it's making accessible to Democratic campaigns nationwide this year a voter file with constantly updated data from past elections in an effort to coordinate voter information as well as help those campaigns better strategize and manage volunteers.
Trenton, New Jersey (CNN) - Gov. Chris Christie pledged to make New Jersey's largest payment ever to the state's pension plan as he presented his budget for fiscal year 2015 at the state house Tuesday afternoon.
With a hoarse voice, Christie said, "Today, I present to you a budget that is balanced, and, for the fifth year in a row, requires no new taxes on the people of New Jersey."
Washington (CNN) – House lawmakers are stepping up their look into how Target handled last fall's massive data breach, with a top Republican requesting that the company turn over a pile of internal documents about the security problem.
House Oversight Committee Chairman Darrell Issa, R-California, sent a letter to Target president Gregg Steinhafel Monday requesting all "documents and communications" from last fall that relate to suspicions of a data breach or decisions about how to notify customers.

(CNN) - All signs indicate Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer will likely veto politically-charged legislation that supporters say promotes religious freedom and opponents contend discriminates against gays and lesbians.
Brewer did not signal her intention either way in an exclusive interview with CNN on Monday at the National Governors Association meeting in Washington.

(CNN) - Sen. Marco Rubio said Tuesday the Defense Department's plan to reduce troop levels comes at a time when there's great unrest in parts of the world.
"In the middle of all of this, the U.S. announcing that we may have troop levels as a low as they've been since World War II. I think that's a pretty startling contrast in terms of where our priorities are and where the world's challenges look like," the Florida Republican told CNN's Wolf Blitzer.

(CNN) - Former President-turned-painter George W. Bush will feature his work in an art exhibit starting this April, unveiling more than two dozen portraits that have never been made public.
The exhibit, "The Art of Leadership: A President's Personal Diplomacy," will feature his paintings, as well as artifacts, photographs, and personal reflections about his relationships made on the world stage, according to the George W. Bush Presidential Library and Museum in Dallas, which is hosting the exhibit.

Washington (CNN) – New rules first lady Michelle Obama proposed on Tuesday would limit the types of foods and beverages that can be advertised in schools.
Under the suggested federal regulations, companies would no longer be permitted to use logos of high calorie products on cups, vending machines or posters, a common sight in schools around the nation.

Washington (CNN) – American Atheists, an outspoken organization that advocates for atheists nationwide, will have a booth at the 2014 Conservative Political Action Conference.
The atheist institution, which is well known for its controversial billboards and media campaigns, informed CNN of its inclusion on Monday night, and a representative from CPAC confirmed that the group will have a booth at the annual national gathering of conservative leaders and activists in March. American Atheists hopes to use the forum to tap into the conservative movement and bring conservative atheists “out of the closet.”
