(CNN) - Sarah Palin may be having a bragging rights moment.
In 2008, when she was the GOP vice presidential nominee, Palin questioned in a speech whether then-Sen. Barack Obama would have the foreign policy credentials to handle a scenario in which Russian President Vladimir Putin invaded Ukraine.

"After the Russian army invaded the nation of Georgia, Senator Obama's reaction was one of indecision and moral equivalence – the kind of response that would only encourage Russia's Putin to invade Ukraine next," she said in Reno, Nevada on October 21, 2008.
The former Alaska governor was happy to highlight her prediction on Friday and scold those who criticized her 2008 comments.
"Yes, I could see this one from Alaska," she said on Facebook. That remark was a reference to a 2008 interview in which Palin argued that Alaska's proximity to Russia helped boost her foreign policy experience.
Saturday Night Live parodied her remarks in a now-famous sketch with Tina Fey, who played Palin on the show, saying "I can see Russia from my house."
On Facebook, Palin continued to explain how she anticipated a growing crisis between Russia and Ukraine, where there has now been an uncontested arrival of Russian military forces by air at a Russian base in Ukraine's Crimea region. They are believed to be Russian land forces, according to a U.S. assessment.
Political tension grows in Ukraine's Crimea region
"I'm usually not one to Told-Ya-So, but I did, despite my accurate prediction being derided as 'an extremely far-fetched scenario' by the 'high-brow' Foreign Policy magazine."
In October 2008, Foreign Policy labeled Palin's prediction as "strange."
After we see that Sarah Palin, for all her faults, has more foreign-affairs smarts than many of the liberal "experts"–including the president and his team–lib commenters here STILL think she's a goof and that Obama is more brilliant. Here's the obvious if you're having trouble: Sarah, RIGHT, Barack, WRONG, and a big crisis as a result...
Love when the left wing unhinged commenters come on this board and have...nothing important to say. Palin drives them nuts! And it's so much fun watching their infantile reactions.
Obamabots distract from another Obama failure by ridiculing Palin for being correct in 3,2,1...
Always fun to hear foreign policy advice from the lady who thinks Africa is a country.
Even the staunch Obama haters and Obama blamers are staying away from this...
Unfortunately, the "Didn't see THAT coming!" kindergarten-ers are the ones who think they're in charge... Wonder if they'll trot out Susan Rice to blame it all on a YouTube video...
If Palin was president, the Russians would have invaded Ukraine, Chechnya, Poland, Turkey, Germany, and parts of China. And all Palin would have done would be to say that she can see what is happening in Russia.
Tampa Tim, seriously?
If the dems EVER had the opt to say " I told you so", it would be a free for all to see who gets to say it first. LOL
Just for all you eggheads
When you say Palin is dumb, but she knows more than Obama, what does that make him ?
Yes Sarah you did. You also told us Pres. Obama will eliminate bin Laden and he did. Facebook has saved you, otherwise we could have forgotten you completely by now.
Sarah Palin is not afraid of grizzly bears or pint sized Putins. Obama is a COWARD. Not to mention he has made us a 3rd world power. What a Slimeball!
Why s she still being quoted? Tell her to stay in Alaska and leave us alone, please....I can't stand her any longer.....
I like Sarah but she is wrong on this one. Russia allowing Ukraine to go to the west would be like us doing nothing while Canada affiliated with China.
If Palin WERE president, we'd all be extremely embarrassed. This person is not bright. And, you realize, her "prediction" speech about Ukraine was written for her, right?
Putin wins! EU is wishy-washy. Reminds me of Hungry in '56. Obama bloviates hot air ....... again, Period! He's gonna downsze the military and leave Israel blowing in the wind with the Iran situation. Check it out, ask Sarah!
Obama is a joke, and not a very good joke either.
Obama's response was what one would have expected if we had elected the Head of the Social Studies Department at Colombia as President. How lame.
Over five years as President and Obama is still an inexperienced amateur.
If Palin was president, Russia would've invaded the USA by now.
Yes, she said it – yes, she was right. This president lies, lies, lies. Has no conviction – except to disarm America and hand power over to Putin. That's not the America I know, or ever want to know. I'll take Sarah over Obama any day!
Hey guys, I predict that some time in the future that North Korea will start a conflict with south korea.
I TOLD YOU SO!
Watch the interview, she did not predict anything. In reference to her lack of international political experience, she made a gesture with her hands, dropped Putin's name, and referenced the proximity of her state to the country of Russia. I don't think that counts as a prediction of Russian involvement in civil unrest in neighboring countries. I' bet that she couldn't have pointed to the Ukraine on a map back then.
Palin actually said there are some parts of Alaska where you can see Russia across the water....which is TRUE. Tina Fey made the joke about the house which she never said. you can see Russia from parts of Alaska with the naked eye.
It is amazing how the left fears this woman and anyone else who holds Americas best interest over the left's impotent special interest corruption. Maybe it's because she took on republican corruption in Alaska?
This great international and geopolitical expertise must come as a great surprise to John McCain's staff who had to teach her the most simple things imaginable about the world as if she had just fallen off a turnip truck.
