Former CIA official calls for release of report on CIA's post-9/11 interrogations

(CNN) - Former CIA Counterterrorism Official Phillip Mudd tells CNN host Michael Smerconish that a controversial report on the CIA’s counter-terrorism activities in the wake of the 9/11 al Qaeda attacks should be made public.

“Those of us who have names or titles in there, it will be a tough time. This is important for the American people to understand this era in American politics and war on terror. If this happens, I think it is okay,” Mudd told Smerconish.

However, Mudd admitted that it may be hard for the public to put the details of the report in the proper context.

“History can remember the facts, history cannot remember the feeling of sitting at that table every night in 2002 and 2003 and saying what's going to happen tomorrow and how do we find out what al Qaeda is up to? You can’t replicate the sense of tension that I remember,” Mudd said on CNN Saturday.

We will find our minds are much like the last two major locations torture was used by europeans against arabs with impunity. Palestine 1947-present and Algeria 1954-1962.

Treason, if you take an oath and work for the CIA. Retire and violate that oath you should be charged treason. 99% of the people working in these positions only know a small portion of the whole story. They sell what they think they know to make money for themselves not to better the county. Off to jail for him.

It seems to me as people forgot how over 3000 innocent human beings lost their lives in the worst attack on US soil history! But today I am forced to learn words as "islamophobic" and one cannot say anything critical anymore without being threatened by an "intelligent" lawyer with a law suit! Welcome to the forgotten 9/11 facts in our hypocritical society!!!

This might be the most ludicrous and disingenuous three sentences I have EVER heard put together:

“Nothing could be further from the truth
    We wouldn’t do that.
That’s just beyond the scope of reason.”

    – Brennan said of the illegal monitoring claim

We all know he's saying the "Least UNTRUTHFUL" thing he could.

Thank you for your groundbreaking work, Mr. Clapper.

To claim that 9/11 was "an outside job" is more speculative and unproven than the "inside job" scenario. For their "militant Muslim" story, the "evidence" cited by the powers-that-be and their media lackeys is single sourced (violating all the rules of proper journalism), lacks certifiable chains of custody, and have been extracted from prisoners using torture. In other words, the story that 9/11 was "an outside job" has relied entirely on fabricating, misinforming and lying to the people.

In recent years, science – devoid of politicization or agenda – has provided us with successfully peer-reviewed evidence that points away from "militant muslims" as the perpetrators... unless "they" were in possession of the appropriate security clearance and access to US Government laboratories and military facilities. Given the evidence we have, this scenario this is the best shot that the official story has. If this unlikely scenario is true, then these alleged "al Qaeda" members would have had collaborators on the inside, which would render the 9/11 operation partly a joint inside-outside job.

Science has also demonstrated in a number of ways that the destruction of the 3 WTC Towers could not have happened as claimed by the US Government and the corporate media; the official explanation is in violation of a number of laws of classical physics. Since the powers-that-be had to go as far as making such absurd/preposterous/impossible claims only demonstrates that their version of events warrants a score of 100 out of 100 on the proverbial "bull-biscuits" meter.

Go get her, Issa. That arrogant, administrative toady needs to answer to her bosses, the American taxpayer. While you're at it, call back former IRS boss Shulman and find out why he visited the W.hite House over 100 times during an election year, when all former bosses visited the White House TWICE at most during a four year term.

Or just say "to heck with it" an get the DOJ to set up a special prosecutor so we can finally see how the IRS fooled around and silenced taxpayers during the campaign.

    Don't give up.

Susan Mc Farland – Ever read Forbes? They disagree with what Fox's Bill O'Reilly told you.

"What’s more, Franke-Ruta’s research reveals that the records tracking the time and date that a visitor signs in and out of a White House event suggests that Mr. Shulman signed in for just 11 events during the years 2009 through 2012 and signed out of 6 events during that same time frame."

I think that if the comity want to through stones. They need to take at a close look of their own actions and statements to the press. While they fuss and fight over what happened right after the entire county was attacked, let us not for get that regardless of warning they with information did not intervene before snow job skipped the country. They did not regardless of repeated warning about the operation position of said snow job allowed him to stay in that position out of pure blood lust. That same blood lust has left our countries security at risk. The damage done to our defenses and our informant networks has done irreparable harm. So as this administration goes on a witch hunt for any that served under Bush. The fact remains on this watch, the bin crap bag, mission was ill prepared and executed with out fore thought. Out right sloppy work. The there is the snow job. ON WHO"S watch? 75 illegal missions into non noncombat zones. Mission under the direct order of the United States President. Way to miss use resources, how unprofessional. The list goes on and on. The Glass House effect. This Administration has blamed Bush for everything. Has run the names of our best service members in the ground. This congress and senate have stood for nothing. If you stand for nothing you will fall for anything.

Unfortunately many Americans want to rewrite history and not learn anything from 9/11.

Actually history can and has recorded "feelings." Generally they are recorded into diaries, videos, etc. Trying to brush away history is an attempt to ignore truth.

They need to arrest the Bush WH and Silversteins group for the attacks. CIA confirms they did it. See CIA Asset Susan Lindauer pdx 911 Truth on youtube – or reports on veterans today.
All of Congress knew/ knows they did it. Only 2 have called for action. US New media is complicity by not telling the truth. NO Iraqis were ever involved.

this michael smerconish is a leftist looney tune. who cares what the cia did to known terrorists trying to kill us?

now how about releasing all the information on fast and furious, the irs targeting of the tea party, benghazi, the targeting of the ap and reporters, and all the debate inside the white house on whether obama should be lying to the american people about obamacare.

It needs to all come out so we are not lied to get us into another war. It was all about oil, had nothing to do with 9/11 and everybody with a brain knows it. It was just to make the rich richer with no concern about loss of life, foe either our soldiers or the innocent Iraqis. History will not be kind to the Bush administration

I still want to know who had enough power to disallow Delta Force's Plan A and Plan B to kill bin-Laden in Tora Bora when our best had him cornered in december, 2001. I saw the Dalton Fury interview and read his book. Cheney? Rumsfeld? Between letting him go and invading Iraq, it almost looked like the guys running the White House wanted to help al-Qaeda.
