(CNN) - A U.S. House candidate in Alabama is literally shooting down Obamacare.
A video released by his campaign on Wednesday, shows Will Brooke using a variety of firearms to destroy a copy of the Affordable Care Act.

The ad begins with Brooke seated on the bed of a truck next to a stack of paper that he says is a copy of the law championed by the President.
The ad is titled "Let's Do Some Damage."
Brooke then drives off in truck, displaying a bumper sticker that reads "I prefer the dangers of a limited government!"
He arrives in a wooded area, loads the Obamacare papers into a wooden box starts shooting.
"We're down here to have a little fun today and talk about two serious subjects: the Second Amendment, and see how much damage we can do to this copy of Obamacare," he says in the ad.
After blasting it rhetorically and literally, Brooke loads the health care copy into a wood chipper and shreds what was left of it.
Brooke's campaign video was first reported by The Daily Caller.
Brooke is one of seven Republican candidates vying for the seat of retiring Rep. Spencer Bachus in the state’s 6th Congressional District.
The Alabama Republican isn't the first to use guns to hammer home a policy issue.
Democratic Sen. Joe Manchin of West Virginia used a rifle to "take dead aim at Cap and Trade" in a 2010 campaign ad against efforts to pass a sweeping environmental bill in Congress.
Republicans nationwide are aggressively campaigning against Obamacare, which aims to provide health coverage to millions of people without it. It passed Congress in 2010 without any Republican support. Republicans hope to expand their majority in the House and reclaim the Senate.
CNN's Dana Davidsen contributed to this report.

Perhaps it is time to let these hick Red states leave and form their own country. But before they leave, remove any military installation, or Federal Assets(which have been supplying them with jobs); and invite any reasonable person with a brain to come with us. Let them form their own government (and constitution). Let them whither on their own vine, put them on the enemy list; and sanction the dog crap out of them. Good riddance.
The almost perfect GOP candidate. Hate and destruction, I assume he also has interesting definition of rape, personhood and supports a complete ban on contraceptives. He should run for president.
Confiscate the gun from him. We don't need it, we need EDUCATION. THIS GUY IS PAID BY INSURANCE INDUSTRY FOR "profit".
Another Republican yahoo.
There's plethora of them.
Yawn.
"I wonder why CNN not reporting that Ca Dem State Sen Leland Lee has been indicted on weapons trafficking! Now that is something the people need to know about."
MSNBC covered that last night on Maddow (exclusive). You actually want CNN to acknowlege they have to use another network's coverage?
For the first time, my landscaper is able to have health insurance for his family. His wife had a pre existing heart condition. He also had pre existing issues, some life threatening and could not get medical care. His daughter as well. Thank God for President Obama and his helping to extend a medical safety net to the needy!
The GOP has better writers that Saturday Night Live.
This will probably play well to the rubes in rural Alabama, but it's hardly the kind of behavior we need from a US Congressman. There are enough like that in the House already.
Insurance is by definition the healthy subsidizing the unhealthy. That's true whether its private or government-funded, Obamacare or not. Everyone should be able to understand this most basic of concepts.
I guess only a Republican is rich enough to waste ammo like that these days.
Thank you Richard Miller and Will B!
Gahan you do realize President Obama will NOT be seeking that coveted term don't you??
Such a show of maturity. It boggles the mind. Of course, I guess he has to appeal to the basest element to ensure he gets enough of the reactionary vote to win his primary.
beancounterz

Not too exclusivie. I heard it on NPR last night.
If a Republican candidate wants to get elected, all he has to do is show he can shoot a gun and that he hates "Obamacare". No thinking beyond that is required.
Important reminder: people having insurance is a good thing. It's better for them, for their families, for their neighbors, for the health care system, for the economy, for the country and ultimately for you too. On the flip side, not having insurance, especially when its available and affordable, just means you are sticking your fellow Americans with your health care bills, an arguably selfish and unpatriotic act.

Hmmm, and yet the last three Republican presidents not only grew the size of government but left office with a record deficit, as well. So please spare us this "limited government spiel.
Red states lol. Wonder how many red necks got a hard on watching this commercial.
Shocker. And what is Mr. "I prefer a smaller government – unless I can profit from it financially or by pandering to my base" Brooke's healthcare alternative? (crickets)
Yeeee hawww I'm a gonna vote for that fellar rite thar!
What a suprise. Some neocon thinks that "guns & violence" are the solution to a situation. This is exactly what we don't need in this country at this point. To the gop/teasters – Please, Please, Please keep digging yourself into a bigger hole.
This is not an example of responsible fire arm use. If you want to be in politics, you need to learn to be a leader and make good decisions, at least that is what politicians SHOULD do.
He's a shoe-in. He knows how to shoot a gun and he hates President Obama. A perfect combination for the GOP.
The GOP hates Obamacare.
WRONG.
AMERICA hates Obamacare. "Choice and competition" was a lie!
Jack......what makes you think that we are happy with how the republican presidents ran things? I will give Bush Sr. and Reagan a slight pass since democrats controlled a majority of government at that time.
well at least you know where he stands
