(CNN) - A U.S. House candidate in Alabama is literally shooting down Obamacare.
A video released by his campaign on Wednesday, shows Will Brooke using a variety of firearms to destroy a copy of the Affordable Care Act.

The ad begins with Brooke seated on the bed of a truck next to a stack of paper that he says is a copy of the law championed by the President.
The ad is titled "Let's Do Some Damage."
Brooke then drives off in truck, displaying a bumper sticker that reads "I prefer the dangers of a limited government!"
He arrives in a wooded area, loads the Obamacare papers into a wooden box starts shooting.
"We're down here to have a little fun today and talk about two serious subjects: the Second Amendment, and see how much damage we can do to this copy of Obamacare," he says in the ad.
After blasting it rhetorically and literally, Brooke loads the health care copy into a wood chipper and shreds what was left of it.
Brooke's campaign video was first reported by The Daily Caller.
Brooke is one of seven Republican candidates vying for the seat of retiring Rep. Spencer Bachus in the state’s 6th Congressional District.
The Alabama Republican isn't the first to use guns to hammer home a policy issue.
Democratic Sen. Joe Manchin of West Virginia used a rifle to "take dead aim at Cap and Trade" in a 2010 campaign ad against efforts to pass a sweeping environmental bill in Congress.
Republicans nationwide are aggressively campaigning against Obamacare, which aims to provide health coverage to millions of people without it. It passed Congress in 2010 without any Republican support. Republicans hope to expand their majority in the House and reclaim the Senate.
CNN's Dana Davidsen contributed to this report.

An example of intelligence at its best. Be proud America...we have some real @ssholes seeking office; not to mention the ones that are already being paid by our tax dollars. If these jerks hate government so much, why to they want to work in it? Also, the red states are the biggest "takers" of all, do they not check out the facts?
What is it with Republicans running around with guns? Mitch McConnell runs on the stage at CPAC carrying one over his head. This nut shoots at pieces of paper.
Maybe we should take guns away from Republicans because they keep alienating everyone and "shooting themselves in the foot"!!!
These are not leaders but reactionaries – I want a sane person willing to have a civil debate and solve our real issues. I am so sick of Republican hate, fear-mongering, corrupt dark money being run through "non-profits", no votes being allowed on anything in Congress, and constant "shooting off their mouth" with lies and offensive comments, never apologizing but only saying they "were taken out of context".
No more Republicans. Haven't they done enough damage to our nation, our rights of women and even to vote, and betrayed us over and over to serve as puppets for the corporations who own them?
I saw a commercial replayed on a network news show where a woman running for Congress says her name and the next sentence is "I grew up on a farm castrating hogs". Where do Republicans get these people?
Just how large a font did he have to use to make it take up that much paper? Both parts of the ACA in total are just over 1000 pages, as downloaded as a PDF.
Rob
The GOP hates Obamacare.
WRONG.
AMERICA hates Obamacare. "Choice and competition" was a lie!

Better than 60% want the law retained unmodified according to current polling. The Koch lie machine has broken down.
It is ironic that Alabama has one of the highest rates of people without medical insurance in the country.
Wow. I wonder why CNN not reporting that Ca Dem State Sen Leland Lee has been indicted on weapons trafficking! Now that is something the people need to know about

Are you new here? CNN doesn't report anything unless it absolutely has to.
Thweir motto should be " First to know, last to tell".
And yes I understand you were trying to start some ish with the guy being a Dem and all, but quite frankly you're being predictably boring so I thought I'd pass on the outrage.
Wouldn't a lynching of the documents be more true to form?
These guys are insane...and you republicans why you can't win national elections...Lets all say it together, "Thank You Madam President
I know guys like him.
They never want to contribute to the common good of society but they cry like a baby when their government check is late.
How did rationality and civilization pass this guy by?
Rudy NYC
"hey tampon timmy, did it ever occur to you that not everybody wants the government embedded into every part of their personal life, especially healthcare?"
-------
So, why is it that conservatives are so concerned over women's health care, specifically birth control?
-------
He who bemoans a bait and switch pulls a bait and switch. How disappointing.
Funny thing is that "cap and trade", just like the "individual healthcare mandate" (core to RomneyCare in Mass and the ACA) – were both originally GOP ideas! How soon they forget. I wonder why they changed their minds?
The fastest way to switch the South from conservative to liberal is to allow the conservative state governors to kill off as many conservative voters as fast as possible. As most of them are older white voters, it is the perfect way for them to kill themselves off (play theme from MASH here).
Oh. Am I not allowed to talk about tailgating with a gun? Why post the picture if we aren't allowed to comment on little boys and their toys?
I see many comments that use the term; "red neck". They are using the term in a derogatory manner. Many of the democratic elite like to make fun and try to put down hardworking, non-entitlement minded Americans. For the benefit of maybe educating these elites, here is where the term red neck comes from. The term comes from the color of the scarves that union coal miners wore in the late 1800's and early 1900's. Back then, it was a positive status symbol to wear a red scarf – that you were in the worker's union. Since most worker's unions were in the south, the term became generalized to refer to states and it's people as union. IT WAS A POSITIVE SYMBOL BEFORE THE NON HARDWORKING DEMOCRATIC ELITES HIJACKED THE TERM.
Good one Fedup2!
instead of shooting a stock of paper, why do you not provide something useful to improve healthcare of this country. IWe all know, the system needs a fix. President tried, may have problem, but, GOP, what is your idea,

Filler...just like most everything that comes out of a Republican's mouth.
Why should their visuals be any different?
Ah...Alabama. Bottom of the barrel in education and the reason southern stereotypes exist.
Wouldn't a lynching of the documents be more true to form?

The papers kept flapping in the wind, making it hard to shoot while it was hanging and then set it on fire....
One of two things is happening with that ad. Either this candidate is being juvenile (an adult would not act in that manner), or he is pandering to an audience he believes is juvenile.
This candidate has every right to campaign on repealing Obamacare, but he should be embarrassed by the course he took to express his view. And all he needs is 51% of his district to support him and he can act just as immature in the House Chamber in the Capitol.
Yeah, a true Republican from a Red state where the poor are treated like crap and the government is doing everything to keep them there. When I was in the South, I was appalled at the living conditions of the majority and the wealth of the few.
LoL! It figures. Republicans refusing to obey the law. What else is new?
Very mature...
Outside the democrat voter base, nobody likes Obamacare... and if you think its bad now, wait til the employer mandate. (Shudder)
