Bush 41 greets Obamas in Houston
(CNN) - Former President George H. W. Bush greeted President Barack Obama and First lady Michelle Obama as they disembarked from Air Force One in Houston on Wednesday.
The former president, seated in a scooter, smiled and spoke with the Obamas for several minutes, according to pool reports.

“I just wanted to say hello to the President and the first lady. When the President comes to your hometown, you show up and welcome him,” Bush said, according to the report.
The Obamas were joined on Air Force One by House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi as well as Reps. Sheila Jackson Lee and Al Green.
They will attend a fundraiser later Wednesday for Democratic House and Senate campaigns.
Bush 41 also embraced each of the Democratic lawmakers.
White House Spokesman Jay Carney also approached the former president to introduce himself.
"I know who you are," Bush said with a smile, according to the report.
Bush donned a blue blazer with flag lapel pin, light khaki pants, as well as his signature colorful socks - this time, with red white and royal blue stripes.
Earlier Wednesday, the President and first lady attended the memorial ceremony for the recent shooting at Ft. Hood.

You may disagree with him on issues, but you can not deny he is an honorable man. Fought for the country and served the country. A great man.

Such an excellent picture! Kudos to you, President Bush. Back in the day I had the honor of meeting President H. W. Bush and Mrs. Barbara Bush. Both were extremely gracious. (I'm a democrat and didn't vote for either Bush – H.W. or W.) We should show respect and support for any and all American presidents, whether we agree with their platforms or voted for them or not.
