Woman throws shoe at Hillary Clinton
(CNN) – A woman hurled a shoe at Hillary Clinton on Thursday during a speech in Las Vegas, according to the Secret Service.
She ducked and it missed her, joking afterward about the incident that occurred during an appearance before a recycling trade group.

"My goodness, I didn't know solid waste management was so controversial," she quipped.
"Thank goodness she didn't play softball like I did," she added.
The Secret Service took the woman into custody. They said she was not a ticketed guest and slipped past hotel security.
She was not named and only identified as a protester. But it was not clear what she was protesting.
The incident happened shortly after Clinton took the stage to address the meeting at the Mandalay Bay hotel-casino.
Mark Carpenter, spokesman for The Institute of Scrap Recycling Industries, said the woman was not affiliated with his group and was not credentialed for the event.
He said she "must have slipped under the rope at the last second."
"I saw papers fly when the protester stood up. I saw papers flying in the air," he said.
Carpenter said there were about 1,000 people in attendance.
Clinton's appearance is the latest in a series of high-profile speaking engagements for the former secretary of state since leaving the Obama administration. She is considered the overwhelming favorite for the Democratic nomination in the 2016 presidential race.

I don't want Billary in the White House, but in all fairness I'm not going to be dogging her for not seeing the shoe coming. She's on a stage, getting blasted by 200 foot candles of light in a darkened room- of course she won't see the shoe until it enters her key light zone a few feet in front of her.
To quote Austin Powers "Who throws a shoe?"
This is a flat out classless act. She's well into her 60s. If that was done to any other women in their 60s people on both sides would be screaming how that could have been their grandmother. Just because she's a public and political figure does not mean she should be subject to attack. Civility still has its place in the world.
Seems a shoe-in through the primaries, now.
You have to be very ignorant to through a shoe to a person speaking, no matter if you disagree with what she is saying. You can be more civilized. And if I was her, I wouldn't be joking about it, it is not funny. I may not like her as a Politician but this was very wrong.

I'd give Hillary a 7 out of 10 (+2 handicap for poor lighting). GW got a perfect 10 for his dodge, because of the difficulty of dodging 2 separately-thrown shoes, and because of the venue.

Women were the second citizens in today GOP political view, including the thrower. How they expected to win the election with this kind of game. I thought Hilary should enter the election to make the "consevative" GOP wake themselve up for the welfare of the nation politics.
