Washington (CNN) - When Leticia Van de Putte walked into the storied Willard Hotel one block from the White House last month, she didn't invoke the stares of gaping tourists or eager handshakes from power-seeking staffers.
Instead, she rolled her own suitcase wearing Texas Longhorn cowboy boots - an accessory she was happy she brought from Texas on that snowy March day in the nation's capital.
I believe there is no path for TX, other than Red. It is a fiercely independent state, and the only thing that will change that, at all, is legalizing tens of thousands of illegals.
of course that is the ONLY reason the Dems want to do that. It will destroy the balance of political power in America, and they know that all too well.
Don't forget to suppress the votes
This is the only way the GOP can win an election

And the reason the cons are running against Dems...? Could it be because" it will destroy the balance of political power in America, and they know that all too well'?
The Republican party is turning texas purple, not this woman. Its hipocracy is doing it for the GOP is loathed to speak on coherent, consistent principles that address the needs and rights of a majority of citizens. The Republican party had fooled a bunch of minimum+wage earning males, Joe-the-Plumber types to vote against their own self interests by electing GOP Senators and Congressmen, Governors, etc. but those tactics won`t continue to work. Texas GOP has pissed off all spectrums of women and Wendy Davis gives them an alternative. There`s no telling what they will do in the privacy of the voting booth. There would be no better way to get through to the GOP than to have GOP women cast the ballots, unexpectedly , for Davis.
