Police investigate threats against Sen. Reid
(CNN) - Capitol Police in Washington said they are investigating threatening statements made against Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid.
Police would not provide additional information other than to say it's an ongoing investigation.

A spokesman for the Nevada Democrat declined to comment.
Reid, who has a permanent security detail, is a sharp-elbowed politician who is outspoken on many topics and often clashes openly with conservatives on issues from Obamacare to budget matters.
But a congressional source said the threats started after Reid made sharply critical comments about supporters of controversial Nevada ranger Cliven Bundy, at one point calling them "domestic terrorists."
Bundy was locked in a high-profile and protracted land dispute with the federal government.
Last week, he drew widespread scorn for making racially insensitive comments.

Lois Lerner should be waterboarding for trying to rig election finances in favor of democratic party.we need to know how far up this goes and prosecute accordingly.Harry Reid needs waterboarding to explain the money he and his rich family have acquired. During his political career.he needs to go to jail and his money should be forfeit.

Well; that’s not hard to believe given the rants Harry Reid has made over the last few months; he really needs a psychiatric evaluation. If the average American citizen made the comments Harry Reid has been making they would be lead off to the rubber room.

I certainly hope that thsoe investigating are giving more than a cursory look at some of those "patriots" that stood behind their wives lest gunfire broke out and they should be hurt.
Reid has to do this or his retirement money will not amount to very much. Reid is so much more important as a single man VS a whole family dependent on their livelihood of selling cattle. After bundy more families are next. Reid has no soul.
I think Sen. Reid was being kind in his use of the phrase "domestic terrorists." They were defending a rogue citizen, and they pointed seemingly armed and loaded weapons at government employees. Could you imagine the outcry from the right wing had this happened in an urban context, and armed citizens in the area showed up by the dozens in a standoff with police? It would have like that shootout in Philadelpia some 30 years ago or so that torched an entire city block, leaving dozens of innocent families homeless and penniless.
Bundy is a tax scofflaw, who has refused to pay the negligible fees that he is required for the land use. His competitors pay fees that ten times what Bundy is asked to pay. Suppose he was growing corn on federal lands, and selling it for a generous profit on the open market. Everyone else in his position pays a land use fee. Bundy used to pay it, but has refused to do so for at least the last 20 years.
I wouldn't doubt if the threats are coming from those militias backing Bundy. Those aren't militias. They are terrorists and should be treated as such. They don't recognize the federal government therefore we shouldn't recognize them as Americans and they could be targeted for a drone strike.
Reid is 100% right. These cowboy yahoos are nothing more than free loading welfare rancher "bodyguards" waving rifles and an American flag the do not respect. Their terrorism of others who play by the rules our founding fathers envisioned for a better America have led too many to believe a wild west mentality where only those willing to shoot and kill for a wasted cause have "rights". They are all anti American thugs and nothing more. Living off government subsidy they claim they deserve while others who work 50 – 60 hrs a day must get food stamps to eat a decent mead. The only thing that makes them appear powerful is the stupid guns they wave around to threaten others. Makes them pretty ignorant welfare scabs in the eyes of more than they know. Losers. When Bundy is taken into custody for this even libs need to worry. It is just a matter of time until they come for us. This is more like old Germany than America.
