Palin: ‘Waterboarding is how we baptize terrorists’

(CNN) - Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin told a capacity crowd at a National Rifle Association rally how she would baptize terrorists if she was an elected official.

“If I was in charge,” Palin said Saturday in Indianapolis, “they would know, waterboarding is how we baptize terrorists.”

Republican Sen. John McCain of Arizona, who ran against then Sen.-Barack Obama in the 2008 presidential election, with Palin as his running mate, has spoken out against waterboarding, calling it illegal and ineffective. During the Vietnam War, McCain endured years of torture and imprisonment as a prisoner of war under the North Vietnamese.

In her speech, Palin also said the Washington insiders who called the 2009 mass shooting at Fort Hood a case of workplace violence “don’t know what is right.” That shooting was carried out by Maj. Nidal Hassan.

“Not when that evil Muslim terrorist Major Hassan massacres his fellow military soldiers at Fort Hood,” she said.

Characterizing Hassan, “that devil” as a ‘disgruntled employee,’” is hypocritical, said Palin.

Palin called liberals hypocrites for their stance on issues varying from gun control to torture at the NRA event that was part of the organization’s 2014 convention.

But she backtracked later, saying, “Not all intolerant anti-freedom leftist liberals are hypocrites.”

“I’m kidding,” she said. “Yes, they are.”

Palin told the crowd that “guys like” Sen. Al Franken and Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid “are not satisfied with just taking your money and your job and your truck and your property and your rights and your healthcare. Those Democrats trying to get all ‘Pelosi’ on ya, and you’re not gonna have it!” she said, referring to House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi.

Palin accused the Democrats of pursuing “policies that poke our allies in the eye and coddle adversaries instead of putting the fear of God in our enemies.”

She ended her speech by telling the crowd that the bracelet she wears celebrates the Bill of Rights, ratified in 1791.

“It’s why we’re here, to celebrate and confirm that solemn oath to liberty,” she said.

So its ok to carry a gun near a school zone where little kids or kids are. You think its ok to torture terrorists with a torture devices just like med evil time did like a half millennium years ago. Ask yourself would you want a gun free zone where no weapons are present near schools or do you want guns to be on the streets near schools do you want to protect our kids or do you want to protect our 2nd amendment. These little questions can save lives or destroy our culture. Sarah Palin doesn't really get it. Does she want to protect the kids or does she want to protect the 2nd amendment rights? If she choose the 2nd amendment rights than we will still have violence near the school zone or in school and that's the worst than can happen just like the Newtown massacre or Columbine high massacre. Sarah Palin will care about our kids and only care about the guns.

What does that even mean? After waterboarding, the terrorist is a Christian? An American? What? What a turkey this woman is.

Any pretense Madame Palin made of being a Christian is obliterated by this horrible statement.

    The Rave:
A junk yard dog to say the least. But can't someone keep her on her leash? And the only reason this twit is still in the news is that the press keeps on publishing stories of her exploits. If that would stop she would quickly become what she really is – irrelevant.

She is irrelevant enough to be paid to speak at the NRA convention. You might want to think about that. In terms of her relevance...She is another Cliven Bundy, another Stirling...Just that she is willing to say in public what the Republican base *REALLY* thinks.

That makes her relevant, and also scary.

palin is right. ever seen "I spit on your grave." that's exactly how I feel and would do. if you torture me I torture you, you kill a loved one of mine I kill you. if you leave me for dead and I survive, that was your biggest mistake, im coming for you! eye for and eye. stop being a pan zy, if a terrorist catches your or just any kind of enemies. what? you gonna tell them o please don't torture me, we don't do it, so you shouldn't either. same thing fr gun laws, I say give everyone a gun issued at age 18 or 21 and they have to take a gun control class. I don't think there be as many criminals then not with the other 20 people pointed back at the 1 person that decided to act stupid.

Just wondering how Sarah Palin would feel if her son were taken prisoner while he is in the military and tortured. This "mother" should shut her moronic mouth. We don't torture because we don't want our soldiers tortured. Some of us are people of faith and all of us are civilized and Dick Chaney is no longer in charge. We would all want our sons and daughters treated well and not abused when they are helpless. We call it humanity! They hung and shot torturers from the civil war after until WW2.

Unfortunately, Ms Palin does not quite comprehend the fact that the GOP may claim the Democrats want to "redistribute" wealth to the poor, but in fact the GOP has quite successfully redistributed over 38% of all of America's wealth from the 98% to the top 2% during the past 3 GOP Administration, then culminating their accomplishments with the Bush II 2008 economic meltdown.

I really admire her because it's like she is always saying exactly what we are all thinking. We could use her wisdom in the White House. Unfortunately, the liberal media has pushed her away with its malicious slander campaign on this wonderful woman.

Rory Darrow: "Unopposed, terrorism is winning."
Right, because it isn't as though our current administration just carried out one of the largest single anti-terror strikes in years less than a week ago or anything.
