(CNN) - Oregon State University canned men's basketball coach Craig Robinson, the brother of first lady Michelle Obama, on Monday, saying in a statement that the decision is in the best interests of the school.
A national search for a new coach has begun, Athletic Director Bob De Carolis said.
Coaches come and go. He will move on; good luck to him.
Looks like crazy Rick Scott sitting under the coach's forearm!
He's about to get something like $4M for his contract ending early from what I heard. I'm sure he'll survive.
Waiting for some rwnj to throw politics into this, I have no idea how, but I have faith in them.
This belongs in the Sports section, not politics.
Nothing wrong.
Must be a slow news day for Foxlite....
Oh, yeah, and this is NOT political news.
Robinson will be fine. Go Beavs!!
"Say what? That's my brother-in-law! Get me the IRS Val, I think they should get in touch with the OSU staff..."

@Wake Up People! Many Rivers to cross.....This belongs in the Sports section, not politics.
So does the screecher from AK. She belongs nowhere!
Fun Fact for all you "I hate public employees and they should all be laid off!" folks:
The highest paid public employee in 39 of our great United States is either a football (28) or basketball coach (11).
Three reasons why this blows:
1. Coaches don't generate revenue on their own; the student-athletes who actually do the playing have scholarships, but beyond that don't make a dime.
2. Coach salaries don't reflect performance; for example, in 2011-2012, Mack Brown was paid $5 million to lead a mediocre 8-5 Texas team to the Holiday Bowl.
3. The revenue generated by the teams rarely makes its way back to the general funds of these universities. All this football/basketball revenue is sucked up by coach and AD salaries, by administrative and facility costs, and by the athletic department's non-revenue generating sports; it's not like it's going to microscopes and Bunsen burners.
The ticker throwing out a baited hook on this one. I must say (so far) im impressed that no one has taken the bait and ran with it.
