GOP establishment 1, tea party 0 after North Carolina Senate primary
(CNN) - In the intraparty battle for the GOP, score Round 1 for the Republican establishment over the tea party.
CNN projects that North Carolina House Speaker Thom Tillis has won the state's GOP Senate primary. Tillis, who was backed by many mainstream.
I would love to see more tea party victories so that they can be blamed (properly) for lack of progress in getting things done. Once that is clearly seen, they'll never get elected again.

Have we awakened? I must have missed what the Republicans have done for us again . They are controlled by a very small group of people, many of whom offshore their money to avoid paying taxes, yet want absolute control over where tax dollars are spent, nice.

While I applaud the GOP establishment for winning the primary, I will miss the lunatic fringe, yammerin' about "part piurity", which provided us with a true window into the bagger mindset, of racism, bigotry and sexism!
It would appear that even Republicans are tired of the disrespectful, irrational, "take our country back" crazies within the Republican Party.

The party of 'Take Away Your Vote" has chosen a conservafascists who wants to repeal Obamacare and restrict voting rights. I think turnouot in North Carolina will be extremely high for democrats because when you try and restrict people from voting, guess what? They go out and vote.
