Obama congratulates Michael Sam, first openly gay player drafted by NFL
(CNN) - President Barack Obama congratulated Michael Sam on Saturday for being the first openly gay football player taken in the National Football League draft, the White House said in a statement.
"From the playing field to the corporate boardroom, LGBT Americans prove everyday that you should be judged by what you do and not who you are," Obama said. He also congratulated the NFL and the St. Louis Rams, the team that drafted Sam.

Gay people must work. They cannot steal (Genesis 3: 19), but Ezekiel 3: 18 says you must warn them that they go to
"the vengeance of Eternal Fire" (Jude verse 7) or "his/her blood will I require at thine hand".
Congrats to Mr. Sam! So few athletes are good enough to turn pro; I hope he has a long and successful career!

And what do you know? The sun still came up; thousands of season ticket-holders did NOT burn their tickets; The city of St. Louis did not fall into a sinkhole; the rest of the team did not demand immediate trades; and none of the owners of the other 31 franchises threatened to boycott games with the Rams. The real story here is that it is no big deal, and that is a very big deal indeed.

Obama has to try anything to get the headlines off Benghazi somehow! Michael Sam was drafted 249th; one of the last picked in the draft Saturday. Then ESPN showing Michael Sam kissing his boyfriend, it’s time to change the channel from football to anything else.
