(CNN) - Secretary of State John Kerry slammed Los Angeles Clippers owner Donald Sterling in address to graduates at Yale University on Sunday.
"You are graduating today as the most diverse class in Yale's long history," he said. "Or as they call it in the NBA, Donald Sterling's worst nightmare."

Kerry made his remarks as the featured speaker at Yale's Class Day exercises during commencement weekend.
His joke comes after Sterling repeatedly denied he is a racist in an exclusive interview with CNN's "AC 360" last week, despite remarks made in a private conversation with his friend V. Stiviano that were released online.

What was that saying? There is a place for everything etc. etc.
Good one John!
Here is another good zinger....
Name one accomplishment of yours in your time as a senator or secretary of state.
Leave it to CNN to waste time reporting useless information on a useless individual such as Secretary Kerry. Sterling, for all his insanity and stupidity, at least had the sense to actually make something of himself and run businesses which put people to work. Kerry is a fool who married into wealth and power and has nothing to show for it. And his remarks about Israel "becoming" an apartheid state are just as racist and hateful as anything spewing out of Sterling's mouth.
wait till taping other people conversations are used in hostile takeovers on walk street
Guess there were no protest for Kerry speaking. Wish he spent a little more time being Sec. of State than wandering around picking the low fruit.
bet Kerry didn't bring up the fact that Sterling is a Democrat. Hmmm.
Those that keep talking about the 3 stooges (Sterling, Sams and Bundy) sound as disgusting as them.... including the media outlets that won't let it go.
Maybe Kerry didn't mean it as a 'joke' – he's probably a 'closet racist' also!!
Anyone who thinks a joke is "waging war" against free speech is an idi0t.
Kerry gas had a few swift boat moments also
......As we sit back and look at our perfect lives and look down on others in judgement, as I wade through these muddy waters of judgement, do any of us have mirrors so we can look at our perfect selves, that when we flush the toilet it doesn't stink.
John Kerry, wasn't he the liberal that apologized to Bin Laden for the World Trade Towers being in their way
Why is he weighing in on a private matter like this? Surely he has more important things to be working on.
Good for Kerry. By the way, where is the Anti-Defamation League on this? Why have they not condemned Sterling's racist words? Or does the Anti-Defamation League only care about racist comments made towards Jews? That seems almost prejudiced in and of itself.
That's a joke??!! Kerry better hope that he can keep his day job!
Way to go Kerry. It takes a strong leader to go after someone like sterling.
He should have slammed the liberals at Rutgers for not wanting Condolleeza Rice to speak.

A little diversity in thought from the left would certainly be refreshing to this country.
Kerry is just a harmless nerd who wanted to be JFK. Those who wish to bash him can't vent their spleens on FOX because no one can comment on Koch News that isn't a paid shill. You guys should be grateful for CNN.
Nice viral attempt at relevance K master
@Anonymous, no...that is not "ironic." Learn what words mean and how they are applied before using them. That's an important part of the free speech you so love.
Would someone please muzzle this fool.
I love John Kerry... He nailed it.
Secretary Kerry tells the funniest jokes! (NOT) How come he is not David Letterman's replacement at CBS?
I've posted that the teams ought to own themselves, and was called a racist and a moron. Exactly who do the democrats think they're helping here? "da plane, da plane"!!
