Romney calls for NH police commissioner to apologize, resign for Obama slur
(CNN) - Mitt Romney is calling on a police commissioner to apologize and resign after using the N-word to describe President Obama
"The vile epithet used and confirmed by the commissioner has no place in our community: He should apologize and resign,” Romney said Sunday in a statement provided to CNN.

Robert Copeland, 82, is the police commissioner in Wolfeboro, New Hampshire - where Romney owns a home and spends a lot of time.
On Thursday evening Copeland refused to apologize at a town meeting for using the term.
The Boston Herald first reported Romney's statement.

How rich is it that Romney, of all people, should be outraged over the President being disrespected. The entire Republican Party has engaged in an organized character assassination of Obama, including everything from questioning his citizenship, to insinuating he is a Muslim t e r r o r is t. They have blocked every effort made by the president, even initiatives which serve their own interests. The police commissioner is an open racist. Romney and company are simply more adept at disguising their racism as political differences.
A 'vile epithet' – the word used daily by those who are supposed to be offended by it. Hypocrisy abounds.
Willard is absolutely correct. Even though we have the first amendment in this country it is not a free pass to call people names. Willard is so far the first and only promentent repub to wish his fellow repubs had some civility. This is why they are rapidly becoming the party of irresponsibility and may very well buck tradition and lost the House and lose seats in the Senate. The only reason they may not in the Senate is that there more Democratic seats that are empty due to retirement and more in play.
Thank you Mitt Romney for standing up for your president – political party aside. Mr. Copeland should resign. His old way of thinking is no longer welcome.

That old hag should have been long gone. Did he forget that retirement age is 65? Give younger people a chance to serve rather than maintain the old tired lines of thinking. What a sickning comment to make. This old biddy needs to just go away and never show himself again. That old school retoric is a thing of the past. So....."Commissioner you're an embarrassment to all American's, resign or get fired!"
The comment does not surprise me at all. Most of the White population still believe that African Americans have no place within society. The President has been the most disrespected President in our country. The Commissioner still has the racist mentally and will always be. He is a sorry person for not growing with the times we live in. But God will have the last say. Accept the fact that African Americans can be Educated, live well and become the President of the United States. People Breed Racist and teach them the practice.

All I have to say about this article is that I am tired of the news coverage of all of the racist white people but the media falls silent whenever there is an icident involving racist african-americans. Yeah yeah I know definitionally they cannot be racist...only prejudiced or some nonsense like that...but to me there is no difference. We had a County Commissioner the other day accuse a fellow county commissioner of being a member of the KKK because he disagreed with views on a subject regarding latinos. She tried to say Latinos were not a minority, he disagreed, and she launched the KKK comment at him. No coverage at all...even locally it only made it to one station. If people really want to move past racism, then we need to STOP focusing all the attention on whites and start putting some images of blacks being racist back in their faces. On par I find black america far more racist than white...and like the police commissioner in the article above they are not secretive above it. In fact they often hold public offices like him and lodge racists allegations on the record with no "bones about it" as this guy so eloquently put it. Of course I think the media likes racism...it always makes for a juicy story. So they take the opnion of lets not fix the problem...lets feed the problem. Thanks to all you wonderful writers, reporters, and broadcasters...great job at making our country worse.

This guy isn't the only guy that feels or says these things. One need only look back at the Ticker articles over the weekend and read the comments for the articles about the Obama's and AG Holder. I on the other hand, couldn't get a comment through. It seems like hate sells.
